Chapter Nine: It's going down

~Millie's POV~
We raced over to Uma's ship. With a song and dance number starting with Harry calling" Welcome!" followed by Uma" Finally!"

We stood closer to the ship on the docking area now, grabbing swords then turning to see Uma beginning to perform a bit for us to give her the wand.

"Let's get this party started! I swear I'm cold-hearted! There's no negotiation. I'm not here for debatin. You need some motivation?Just look at Ben's face, then ask yourself How long you think I'll remain patient! I'll throw him overboard. And let him swim with killer sharks! You either hand over the wand, or he'll be ripped apart!"

She thought she had us trapped, but I wasn't near done yet. I turned to look back at my sister and friends, and following a brief revamp of the plan, I kind of went off at Uma.

" Now let's all just be smart! Although for you, that must be hard! You'll get your wand! No one has to come to any harm. Don't try to intimidate. Your bark is much worse than your bite! Who's the baddest of them all? I guess we're finding out tonight."

Uma/Pirates:" Let's go, bring it on! Better give us what we want! It's the wand for the crown. If you don't, it's going down!"

VKs: "Let's go, make your move! Peace or war, it's up to you! Give him up and do it now! If you don't, it's going down!"

Uma/Pirates:" We want the wand, or else the king is gone! Your time is running out! You should really watch your mouth!"

VKs:" Let's go, pound for pound! We're prepared to stand our ground! Put your swords up, put 'em up. It's going down!"

Uma/Pirates:" Yo-oh, ho-oh, oh-oh, make the trade! Yo-oh, ho-oh, oh-oh, Or walk the plank! Yo-oh, ho-oh, oh-oh, Make the trade! Yo-oh, ho-oh, oh-oh, Or walk the plank!"

Mal:" Okay, look, this is not a conversation. It's a do-or-die situation! If you don't give us back the king, There will be no hesitation! I'll serve you right here. And I don't need a reservation. That way, your whole "pirate crew" can have a demonstration. Release him now, and we can go our separate ways unless you want to deal with me and the Vk's."

Uma:" So that's your big speech, huh?An empty ultimatum?"

Harry:" All it takes is one swing, and I'll humiliate him! Matter of fact, make one wrong move, and I'll debilitate him! And if he even starts to slip, I'll eliminate him! All it takes is one wrong look, and I'll--"

Uma:" Harry, we get it.Chill."

Pirates: Let's go, bring it on! Better give us what we want! It's the wand for the crown! If you don't, it's going down!"

Vks: Let's go! Make your move, peace or war. It's up to you. Give him up and do it now; if you don't, it's going down. Let's go! Pound for pound! We're prepared to stand our ground! Put your swords up, put 'em up! It's going down."

Ben:" Hey! We don't have to choose! We don't have to light the fuse. Millie, whatever you do, it's gonna be a lose-lose! There's gotta be a better way! Uma, I promise I'll give you your chance, and you'll have your say!"

Uma:" Silly king, you give me? You're gonna give me a chance? Well, not a chance!"

Pirates:" Yo-oh, ho-oh, oh-oh, Make the trade! Yo-oh, ho-oh, oh-oh, Or walk the plank! Yo-oh, ho-oh, oh-oh, Make the trade! Yo-oh, ho-oh, oh-oh, Or walk the plank!"

I turned to Evie, who threw me the wand in which I handed it to Uma, but she stopped me." Hold it. Too easy. Why don't you give it a test drive? We want to see it work."

Mal chuckled; "You always were quite the drama queen."

"Oh, and nothing too big, or else Ben is fish bait," Uma muttered.

"We're dead." I heard Carlos whisper to Jay.
I began to look around before finalizing my gaze on Dude. "Although; it seems absurd, turn your bark into a word! Talk dog."

"Does this vest make me look fat? Does anyone have any bacon? Some cookies?" Dude exclaimed, causing Uma and the pirates to start a laughing fest.

"Give me the wand!" Uma exclaimed.

"Give me Ben!" I yelled back.

~Ben's POV~
"Harry, bring him over." I heard Uma call a little while later. Harry sighed heavily and brought me over to the other end of the ship.

"Ooh, um, before you go, tell your mom that Gaston says hi, and also tell your dad that my dad wishes he'd finish off your dad when he had the chance," Gil said, running over behind us.
"Cut him loose, Harry," Uma said.

"I never get to have any fun." Harry groaned, cutting the ropes loose from my hands and throwing me into Millie's range.

"Ben, move!" I heard Evie call, and with that, we began to bolt across the docks.

"By the power of the sea, tear it down and set us free!" Uma yelled, holding the wand up to the barrier. Thanks to Carlos, the decoy wand had worked perfectly to fool Uma, well at least until we made it through the entryway." NO! You don't get to win every time."

I hadn't felt more relieved than when we made it back to the garage." Jay, start it up!" Evie called, throwing the swords into the limo trunk.

"Are you okay?" Millie asked, and I nodded. "Good, cause you scared the living daylights out of me, you idiot! Was that the plan? To scare me into coming back?"

"I mean, it depends. Did it work?" I asked, chuckling and running my fingers through her hair.

"Ugh, okay, okay! Fine, maybe,maybe it did... A little."

"That's Millie code for more than a little," Mal said, standing beside us now. "You got her good, Benny Boo."

"You're such a smart alec." Millie threw back at Mal as she slid behind Evie, Lonnie, and Carlos into the limo. "Look, I'm sorry that things didn't go the way you wanted them to."

"I mean, as long as you're safe. I mean, as long as I got to see the Isle. They're my people too. Uma helped me see that."

~Millie's POV~
I couldn't believe that any of this was happening. The fact that Evie and Ben had convinced us to give Auradon one last shot was a shock in itself, as I had told myself that I wouldn't ever go back there and then a few hours later, piling back into the same limo that had started this mess, to begin with. "Ben, Uma captured you."

"Eh, she's just an angry girl with a bad plan. That's not so different from when you came to Auradon, Millie."

The rest of the night's drive back to Auradon was spent in silence as Jay drove out of the garage, across the bridge, and all the way until we reached the school's campus.

I sighed a breath of relief. I couldn't believe that any of this was happening. The fact that Evie and Ben had convinced us to give Auradon one last shot was a shock in itself, as I had told myself that I wouldn't ever go back there and then a few hours later, piling back into the same limo that had started this mess, to begin with.

And now, that I was back at the start: with Cotillion and the lady of the court position being in a mere speck of time away. And what was I to do now?
