I take a quick glance at the alarm clock on my nightstand and gasp at the time; he'll be here any moment now, I gotta hurry up!
It's Halloween night, the best night of the year and I'm going trick or treating with my best friend: Jonathan Crane.
I finish up my two hair buns and take a look at myself in the mirror. My mom helped me sew the white robes and my dad painted a nerf gun black to look like a blaster. If you haven't guessed by now, I'm going as Princess Leia from Star Wars, and I gotta say it turned out pretty good.

I hear the doorbell and my mom proceeds to call out for me. "Raven, Jonathan's here! We're leaving now!"
"Okay, mom! Have fun, love you!" My parents were going to some Halloween party along with Jonathan's dad. Johnny was so glad when he agreed; Gerald became some sort of hermit ever since his wife died. He never goes out with anyone... But then again, neither does Jonathan.
"You too, kids. Be safe!" The front door closes. I grab my trick or treating bag before leaving my room and heading downstairs to meet my best friend.
"Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope" Jonathan quotes in a mocking female voice.
"Hey, that's supposed to be my line!" We share a quick laugh and hug briefly. "Nice costume, by the way" I say a bit taken aback.
"Why, thank you, your highness" he says taking a bow.
Jonathan's dressed as a scarecrow, but he's not just wearing a plaid shirt, some dungarees and a lame hay hat, no; this one's different. Sooo much different. This one makes you crawl in your skin, it makes the hairs at the top of your neck stand still, it's... It's like it's taken out from someone's worst nightmare.

He's been working on it for months, without any help at all. I'd say I'm impressed, but Jonathan's always been like that: Incredibly smart, skilled, calculating and very proud; god help him if he's ever asked for help to do anything.
