"Don't." Bruce warned, but it fell onto an empty room, quite literally, as the kid sprinted after her.
"Demetria! Demetria, come on I'm sorry about the nick-naming thing, if that's what you're really mad about. I know Electric Girl was a stupid name. " He pleaded, rapping against the door, pressing an ear against it, extending his already enhanced hearing. Faint sobs and the thump of her body hitting the bed frame pushed him to knock on the doorframe even more urgently.
"It's not the fucking name, Parker." He heard a growl and the thud of something heavy hitting the door, hopefully just a pillow.
"Then are you mad about the fact that I fiddled with your tech? I sort of wanted to keep it a surprise which in hindsight, wasn't exactly the best idea," he rambled, talking mostly to himself at the end.
"Parker," he heard an exasperated sigh and the shuffling of feet against carpet as a louder thud came from the door, this time he could feel the pressure of her back, leaning against the wood.
"Before you open your mouth again-," she warned as he snapped his jaw shut. "Can you just leave me alone?"
"Fine." he snarled, dropping down on the floor, leaning against the doorframe.
"Parker, I don't think you understand what the word leave means. Usually people go or you know, vacate the area." she pointed out sarcastically.
All she got in reply was a heavy sigh that somehow managed to reach her loud and clear as he stubbornly parked himself right at her doorstep.
It pained her to know that he was right there, the only thing separating them, a thin piece of wood that she could probably kick down in three seconds. But for once, she didn't want to see his face. Not when it brought back memories of someone she didn't want to or couldn't get to know.

"Kid! Kid! Come on get up, I ain't got time for this." A cold hand touched his arm as he jerked awake, neck and back aching.
"I- what- De-,"
Sam quickly avoided the punch that launched past his face.
"Slow down there, it's just me," he pulled Peter up as he staggered, rubbing the back of his neck where a railroad spike seemed to have embedded itself there, waves of pain radiating downwards.
"When FRIDAY couldn't seem to wake you, I drew short straw I guess, and Bucky was still asleep, so Pepper sent me looking for you, in case, I don't know, you slipped into a coma in your sleep, but I guess we all know why you're not in there now. Someone's in the doghouse." he smirked, glancing at the door as he finally relived yesterday's night's memories.
"No-no, that is not what happened." he stopped Sam immediately, grateful for the darkened corridor that was hiding the colour rising up in his cheeks at the implications.
"Sure, kid keep telling yourself that. Well, since my job here is done, Pepper wants you down in 15 minutes for school."
"School?" Peter repeated as if his brain couldn't fully process the word.
"Yeah, summer break is over and now that we've dealt with the little identity problem, Pepper and May want your ass back there to get your diploma." Sam explained.
"But what about," he turned back to the door as Sam wiggled his eyebrows, further insinuation.
"Bucky and I'll train her. Besides I'd like to see what that energy thing of hers does to his metal arm," he grinned at the thought, wondering if it would spasm or just drop off, like when the Wakandans disabled it.
