My Little Bugaboo

Chapter 5

It was another week. Marinette and Luka were hanging out again but this time Alya, Nino, and Adrien where with her. Adrien felt like a 3rd wheel to this double date but he was happy to see everyone smiling in laughing. I guess he would have invited Kagami but she probably had better things to do. Adrien looked at Marinette as she walked in front the group holding hands with Luka. He frowned and looked away.

He didn't understand why this upset him so much. Did he really like her or was he just being selfish and rude. He wanted to see her happy but he wanted to be smiling with her. Not just for her. Adrien looked at Nino and Alya. They were messing around as they walked. Alya grabbed his hat and giggled as she put it on. Adrien chuckled. His friends were really nice to be around. He looked at his phone trying to distract himself from the fact that he was single while walking behind two happy couples.

His eyes staid on his phone till he heard Marinette scream and looked up to see her trip. Luka smiled and went to help her up. "Are you ok you goofball. I told you to tie your shoe." He said as he lifted the girl off the ground. "It's Marinette, this would have happen even if her shoe was tied." Alya smiled. "Hey, thats kinda mean!" She huffed and dusted herself off. Adrien smiled, she was adorable. Her little pout and the face she makes when shes mad. He couldn't help but find it cute. Wait what. Agreste get your head out of the clouds. What are you thinking. You love ladybug. You can't just move on so soon.

Adrien sighed as he watched Luka sit her down by a bench and tie her shoe. Marinette smiled a bit and looked up seeing Adrien's expression. "Hey..you ok?" She asked quietly. Adrien smiled and nodded. "Yea just startled me. Are you ok? Nothing broken?" He asked and Marinette giggled. "Yea I'm fine." She smiled and looked at Luka. She held his hands as he helped her up.

Adrien smiled. The urged he was fighting to just push Luka over. He felt terrible. he wanted the best for Marinette. She was a great friend to him and was there for him when a lot of people weren't. She reminds him a lot of Ladybug (that hurt to write) He wasn't sure how to explain it. There was just something about her that showed the same quality. Adrien wondered how fucking blind was he?

Adrien thought about her care for others, she always put everyone before herself. It was painful t watch as most people just brush it off as a kind gesture but it looked as if it meant so much more to her. He smiled a bit thinking about how happy she would get to help out her friends and just being around them. She was like a gem when she was doing favors. She was shining, glowing almost. She was so determined to make it perfect for them.

Adrien was snapped out his thought as an akuma started to terrorize Paris. He looked at his friends seeing they all were standing in a frightened stance. All except Marinette. She stood determined, as if she were ready to fight. "Let's go!" Nino shouted as a car was launched their way. Marinette looked around seeing Luka had already run off.

Marinette frowned now worried. "Luka?!" She called out. Adrien ran to her and grabbed her by her waist. "Marinette move!" He said as he pulled her and tumbled out the way. Marinette screamed as they fell. Adrien covered her head as he looked out at the scene. Why was this one throwing stuff at them. They were all just walking?

Marinette looked up At Adrien seeing him making sure it was safe. She looked around trying to find her boyfriend. "Stay here. I'm gonna go find Luka. Keep your head low ok, I'll be right back!" Adrien shouted and ran out to a new alley way. Once he was out of sight he transformed. Marinette sighed. "He's coming right back, I can't just run off.." She whispered to Tikki.

"Well we need to get going! Cat Noir can't fight this without you." Tikki said from her holders purse. Marinette looked around. She needed to go. She got up and ran out from her hiding spot to find a place to transform. She heard a honk and jumped. She turned her head to see a car flying her way.

Duck! No its to late for that! Move out the way! Do something! GOD JUST MOVE! Marinette's brain was racing. Her legs were froze to the floor as realization hit her. There was no avoiding this. She can't move out the way fast enough. She shut her eyes tightly and covered her face, bracing herself for impact.

Cat Noir was running to the scene and his heart shattered as he saw Marinette. "NO!" He shouted and launched him self forward. God damn it Adrien hurry! She's gonna get hurt. Adrenaline kicked in and he swore it happened in the blink of an eye. He wrapped an arm around her waist and snatched her up from her feet. He jumped out the way and just kept running. He needed to get her to safety.

After that terrifying sight..this was his number one priority. He hid in an alley way and leaned on the wall panting as he held her tightly. Marinette was still shaking as she tried to process what had just happened. She looked up At Cat Noir seeing him shut his eyes and lay his head back against the brick wall.

"Princess...I appreciate the help. But please..never do that again. Leave it to me and the super bug, alright?" He smiled a bit as he set her down. Marinette giggled a little and nodded. "Y-yea..alright. Thank you." She said quietly. Cat Noir nodded and hugged her. He hurried back to deal with the akuma.

All he could think about right now was how Luka left her...he just ran and left her in danger.

She's ok now.

That's all that mattered to him

Alright got this chapter out before midnight. Ending my birthday with a chapter I'm actually really happy with! Nice! Alright love you all goodnight
