I'm thankful for my family. Even though me and my dad don't get along, I'm thankful for him too. I'm protective over Lilly and Noah. I have been since a young age. If anything happened to either of them then I wouldn't forgive myself.
"Get in the car!" Jackson exclaimed as we approached the limo. Gordon got in the front with Jackson. Noah and Mom got in the back of the limo. I got in next and told Lilly to get in. The house collapsed. "My hats!" Lilly exclaimed. "Lilly get in!" Mom shouted. I grabbed Lilly and pulled her into the car. Jackson drove before I could shut the door. It got knocked off. Jackson accidentally pushed Gordon's Porsche into a big hole. "Sorry." He said to Gordon. "No one cares just get us the fuck out of here!" I yelled. Jackson did so and sped down the street.
As we drove I looked behind us and saw that the road was destroyed and was breaking more and more on waves. We got stuck behind two old people. "Come on, move it!" We all shouted. Eventually Jackson pulled onto the sidewalk and went through gardens. The car with the old people in it drove into a piece of road. I shielded Lilly as she started to cry a little. We drove through the streets and avoided lots of people and buildings. "We gotta get to the airport." Jackson said. "We'll take the freeway it'll be half the time." Just as Gordon said that the freeway split and fell. "Yeah, right." Jackson said sarcastically. "We have to get to the other side of the freeway." Jackson said. We found a bit we could go under. "No we're not going to make it!" Gordon said as it started to collapse. "Dad look, dad look!" Noah exclaimed. The roof of the limo scraped against the bit of freeway. I pulled Lilly into my chest and shielded her. A building blocked our way. "Jackson no!" I exclaimed as he drove through the window of it.
Eventually we reached the airport. Jackson and Gordon ran ahead shortly followed by Mom, Noah, Lilly and myself. I had Lilly on my hip so things would be quicker. "It's our pilot!" Gordon exclaimed pointing to the dead man on the ground. "Gordon! Gordon you can fly, and Scar can help you!" Mom exclaimed. "What!" Gordon and I exclaimed. "No I've only had a couple lessons on a single engine plane!" Gordon exclaimed. "Gordon it'll be fine let's go or we'll all die!" I exclaimed. Eventually we all got on board the plane. "Ts and Ps Gordon remember." I said encouragingly. "T and p?" Jackson asked in confusion. "Temperatures and pressures." Gordon told him. "Go!" Jackson exclaimed. "I've gotta do my preflight check." Gordon snapped. "Let him concentrate, Jackson. He has no experience." Mom defended Gordon. "Thank you." Gordon mumbled. I looked out the window and saw the runway breaking away. "Gordon, go." I exclaimed. He pushed down on the handle "We're not there yet" he panicked. "Gordon, take off." Mom shouted. "Punch it, punch it!" Jackson yelled. "I have to get to 85 knots." Gordon said. "Eighty's good." Jackson said. "Oh, screw it. Here we go." Gordon said and took off. We were in the air "Okay. Okay, we're up."Gordon sighed.
Suddenly we dropped. "Woah!" Noah and Lilly exclaimed. "Higher, higher!" Mom shouted. We flew down the streets and narrowly avoided people. Eventually we gained some height. We had to go in between two skyscrapers but we managed. Eventually we were steady.
"Lilly, go sit with your brother." Mom instructed "I don't understand. How did you know this was gonna happen?" I asked Jackson. "It is not just California. It's the whole goddamn world that's going to shit. I met this guy in Yellowstone, this crazy guy. He's been right about everything that's happened so far. And he said the government is building spaceships. I don't know what, but something." Jackson explained. "So that's where you went." I theorised. Jackson nodded in my direction. "Ships?" Gordon asked. "Yeah, places where we can be safe. He knows where they are. He's got a map." Jackson explained. "Jackson." Mom said in uncertainty. "Kate, you gotta just trust me on this, okay?" Jackson asked. Before Mom could reply Gordon spoke "Guys, look." We all looked and saw California in pieces and slipping into the ocean.
Eventually we reached Yellowstone. Whilst the plane was ok the runway Jackson opened the door and got out. "Jackson, What are you doing?" Gordon asked. "Gotta go." Jackson said quickly. "That's against regulation." Gordon attempted to stop him. "Anything?" Mom asked once we got out.
"Yeah, there's fuel. Fill it up. I'm gonna find Charlie." Jackson said. "Daddy, wait. I wanna come with you." Lilly said running to Jackson. "No, no. Lil. Lil, no!" I exclaimed. "It's all right. Just fill it up. We'll be back." Jackson reassured. "Jackson, hurry, please." Mom begged.
