The following day, when it was time for lunch, the merman commanded to leave the apartment. They both made their way to a huge cafeteria with no windows. Only plain white walls.

"So now I have to eat with other people, great," the vampire hissed, taking a plastic tray like Erwin. They then picked whatever they wanted from multiple pots and bowls. When Levi was about to go for an empty table, Erwin chose one with a few people already sitting behind it. The vampire did not like the idea of spending time with anyone else, however, he forced himself not to be such a shy kid and followed his roommate.

"Erwin! It's so good to see you here again!" Hange greeted him as soon as she saw him.

"I am glad to see you too," Erwin smiled, sitting down next to a big brunet man, Mike. Levi took a seat by his other side, still angry at the brunet who called him small.

"If this isn't our baby-bat!" the woman kept on chippering, turning her attention toward the vampire. "How are you? Did the fangs come out without problems?"

"Yes," Levi simply said, focusing on his food immediately after. He was not in the mood to socialize. Unfortunately, Doctor Zoe had other plans:

"Thanks to you we now have all kinds of magical creatures sitting behind this table! Would you like to guess who is what?"

"No," he was being honest once again, sipping from his strange iron-smelling soup.

"Such a pity! It seems like I have to just tell you," Hange sighed, pointing a thumb at herself afterwards. "I am a witch. The blonde lady is a fairy."

"I believe we have already met," the woman stated and Levi slightly nodded. In fact, he felt incredibly embarrassed. It was the woman he tried to get to their apartment to drink her blood.

"Have you really?" the big brunet man asked, leaning towards Nanaba at the other side of the table.

"Yes, Nanaba helped me when Levi tried to go hunting," Erwin explained, trying not to make anyone feel uncomfortable.

"I have told you about it, Mike. It was couple days ago when you called me around midnight to come," Nanaba reminded him.

"The night when you smelt funny?"

"Yes."

"That explains the odor. Young vampires sweat like teenagers," Mike commented, and Levi growled in irritation. It was the second time the man insulted him.

"What's your problem?" the vampire asked directly, glaring at him.

"Don't take it personally, he's a werewolf," Hange chuckled, then pointed at the blonde woman once more. "And if you don't want to piss him off even more, keep away from Nanaba. He loves her to the point where he won't let anyone near her."

"That sounds awful!" Nanaba did not agree with the way Hange put it. "No, he is just protective and it's natural."

"Sure..." the doctor chuckled.

"And what are you supposed to be?" Levi asked, looking at another brunet man. As far as Levi knew, it was Hange's assistant whose name he did not bother to remember. He was not tall nor short. He was not muscular nor skinny. His scent was also in no way special. He was so normal it was unnatural.

"Well, Moblit is actually a human," the brunette woman whispered.

"What?" Levi lowered his voice as well. "Humans are allowed to be here?"

"Not exactly, however, I persuaded our management to let me keep him here as my assistant. As a busy doctor I need help!" Hange claimed, heavily gesturing in frustration.
