"Chifuyu? What are you doing here at this hour?", you ask him, clearly confused.

Baji seems to not even acknowledge his presence but he's just as curious as you are.

"I need to tell you guys something. Something very important.", says Chifuyu, looking very scared for some reason.

"Baji, what did you do this time?", you ask Baji thinking he must have done something again.

"Trust me Y/N, I have no idea what he's talking about.", answers back Baji with a defensive tone.

Chifuyu who looks as if he can pass out at any second now seems to be somewhat unsure of what he's doing.

"Chifuyu, you alright? Why don't you calm down and take a breather.", you tell him, looking very concerned.

You have always been very kind to Chifuyu. Having no siblings of your own makes you treat him like your younger brother even though he's the one older than you by a few months. Ever since Baji introduced him to you, you thought he was the sweetest in Toman, next to Mitsuya.

"I'm alright, thanks Y/N. I don't know what I'm doing but I know I should do it, at least for the sake of you two.", says Chifuyu.

"Can't you just go ahead and tell us already? Did Mikey send you here to spy on us?", asks Baji, sounding mad at Chifuyu.

"What? No! That's exactly the opposite of what I'm doing here, Baji-san!", yells back Chifuyu.

"Oh man, these two never stop, do they?", you think to yourself, almost letting out a giggle.

"I-I uh needed to tell you that...", hesitates Chifuyu. "Kisaki might be planning an attack on the both of you along with...Mikey-kun and the others..."

You and Baji stay silent, completely in disbelief of what you just heard.

"Mikey and the others...planning an attack on us?", you ask Chifuyu, not able to pick the right words for your response.

"I-I think so. I overheard them conversing about something like that with a few other members of Toman. Kisaki was there too. He could be the one manipulating them into it. Though I'm not sure if that's what they're really planning to do, I just needed to tell you guys to be safe. Please look out for youselves, Baji-san and Y/N.", says Chifuyu.

You keep your silence and think for a few minutes before finally opening your mouth again.

"I really don't know what to say right now... Mikey? Draken? Mitsuya? After all that? I can't believe it...but I guess, you can't really blame them. It was us both who left Toman for Valhalla in the first place. But Kisaki though...", you say facing down, feeling outraged at Kisaki.

You look at Baji who still hasn't been able to process what Chifuyu just said.

"Are you being honest with us? Or are you just saying this because of what I did to you today?", Baji asks Chifuyu in a tone you could have never imagined him using against Chifuyu. He sounds as if he doesn't know what he's even saying anymore.

"Baji-san, please, you have to believe me.", responds back Chifuyu.

You two can't help but actually trust him. After all, why would Chifuyu lie? He feels the same way about Kisaki like you and Baji do.

"But how could they?", says Baji, sounding extremely shocked and angry.

A few minutes pass by in silence, all three of you are totally lost within the same oracle of thoughts.

"Hey Chifuyu...", you say switching to a different tone of voice, a more confident one.

"Huh? What is it, Y/N?", asks Chifuyu.

"Here's a little something for you to take back to Kisaki and Toman. If they're planning a sudden attack on both of us, then so be it. But if they try to lay one finger on Baji, I'll make sure they regret it for their entire lives. It's a word not to be taken lightly.", you speak out, sounding confident and fearless.

You still have no idea what was said and told, but you knew if anything were to happen to Baji, you won't let them get out alive especially when he's the only one you've got in your life.

"But Y/N, you don't have to keep getting involved in all of this because of me. Everytime, you try to come and save me and-", you stop Baji midway in his sentence.

"Baji, look at me...let me tell you something, you're worth more than you can even realize. I can't express in words how much you mean to me. You're the reason I'm still able to go on with everything. So don't you dare say anything mean to yourself, alright?", you remind him while holding his chin up high this time. "I'll protect you no matter what, even if you don't need it. It's a promise."

Baji looks at you completely speechless. He couldn't imagine how lonely he must have gotten if it weren't for you. Baji doesn't know how to stop you from doing you so he gives up, but he still doesn't want you to get involved in his fights. In the same way, if anyone were to cause any harm to you, he wouldn't let them survive either.

You two get so lost in each other again, making Chifuyu blush a little and just stand there awkwardly for a few seconds.

"Anyway, I think the reason they didn't include me was because they knew I'd snitch on them.", says Chifuyu, trying to break the silence.

"Yeah, and they wouldn't be wrong.", you respond back. "You can go now, Chifuyu, thank you for telling us. It's very much appreciated."

"No need to thank me, I was just being a good friend. Okay, I should be going now. Goodbye Y/N and Baji-san.", says Chifuyu, hoping for a response from Baji.

Baji doesn't say anything back and just looks away, making Chifuyu disappointed and leave.

"Come on, you could've at least thanked him.", you tell Baji, hitting him on the shoulders.

"I did.", responds back Baji with a funny tone.

"When?! I didn't hear a single word from you!", you shout at him.

"In my heart, Y/N, in my heart.", Baji says, pointing to his left chest.

"You never fail to amaze me, you know that?", you say to him, actually meaning it.

Then the both of you break out in laughters which people around could even hear from inside their buildings.

"The night's almost over. Let's pick up where we left off, huh?", you say to Baji, referring to the incomplete kiss.

Baji holds you by your waist again but this time, he does it even tighter and you put your hands on his exposing chest, getting ready for the kiss. Both of you close your eyes and in a blink, you kiss each other. It feels so magical and dreamy. You never thought a day like this would come, but it did.

You two break off the kiss after a few minutes and don't stop glaring at each other.

"A bike race, shall we?", Baji then asks you, knowing you wouldn't deny it.

You wink at him as an answer. The two of you run towards your bikes and get on them. You start the race and shout out, "Get ready to lose again, Baji!"

"Yeah?! We'll see about that, Y/N!", Baji shouts back. And the voices slowly faint away with you two getting far and far away from the place.
