"What are you doing here at this hour?", Chifuyu asks as he comes and sits down beside you on the bridge, making you startle.

"Oh I was just missing the place, that's all...", you respond back, wiping off your tears. "The place...or Baji-san?", he asks again, looking into your teary eyes.

-"I watched you make your way to the graveyard but you stopped halfway-through...aren't you going to visit him?"
-"I can't, Chifuyu...I won't be able to face it..."
-"You know you're the first person he would have wanted to visit his grave. He's waiting for you, Y/N."
-"But how can I? I've lost the right...He was always there for me yet I couldn't protect him when he needed it most. I failed, Chifuyu. I failed to protect Baji..."
-"If anything, Baji-san would've never wanted you to take on such a responsibility on yourself, cause he knew how difficult having to protect someone is. And that's why he'd always try his best when it came to you."
-"Did Baji say all of that to you?"
-"He did. He would always talk about you, Y/N. He really did try hard to hide his feelings for you but in the end...he couldn't."
-"That idiot. He would never say any of that to me and always keep to himself. He'd always try to come off as someone tough but on the inside, he was the softest you'd ever see. He was truly...an amazing person."
-"Yeah, he really was."
-"By the way, Chifuyu. How is Mikey doing? I wish I could go see him, but I'm sure he wouldn't want me there either..."
-"Mikey-kun was the one who sent me here."
-"Mikey sent you here?"
-"Yes...he was worried for you..."
-"Why me?"
-"Mikey-kun...likes you, Y/N."
-"Mikey...what?"
-"Everyone knows it...Baji-san did too. He noticed the look in his eyes whenever you were with us...and that's why..."
-"Is that why...Baji asked me to stay with Mikey...and protect him?"
-"It is..."
-"I-I don't know what to say...Mikey has feelings for me? And...Baji knew about it...?"
-"I'm sorry for not telling you earlier, Y/N...Baji-san asked me not to so you wouldn't-"
-"It's fine, I don't blame you."
-"Thanks, Y/N."
-"I miss him, Chifuyu..."
-"Go visit him, Y/N. Don't make him wait any longer. The flowers in your hands will die out soon if you don't."
-"Fine then, I'll go now."
-"Alright, see you tomorrow, Y/N!"

Chifuyu gets up from beside you and makes his way home, turning around and waving you a goodbye. He slowly disappears from your sight soon after that.

You too get up from the bridge and turn around to look over the sea on the other side. It looks more beautiful than ever.

You take your time to glare at the sparkling sea before taking a deep breath; and prepare to leave. This time, you're walking your way.

The night feels so cold and chilly. The cool air has wrapped you around in its essence. It's irresistibly chilling yet somehow pleasant.

Your head starts to feel a bit cold too. Maybe it's the cold air from the outside, or maybe it's the thoughts on the inside? Either way, it has your mind wanting for comfort and warmth.

"Mikey likes me? How did I never notice it? Why did Baji never mention it to me? I don't understand..."

While you're on your way, you're completely divulged in different questions. But there's one sitting on the top of all your thoughts, it's where you're heading to.

20 minutes go by, and you start to see it more little by little.

It's Baji's grave.

You stop and stand there for a few seconds. Your hands touch the gate but they feel too weak to open it. They're too shaky.

You're forced to move them. And once they do-

You can see him right there before your very eyes. Right there.
