"He's out of his mind. But if anything were to happen to him, Takemitchy, I just might be too."

Takemitchy gasps, leaving his mouth wide open when you step forward and whisper those words in his ear.

You turn your head back to see Baji's long, soft jet black hair dancing to the wind's tunes as he slowly walks away from the bridge. "We'll see you guys tomorrow. Until then, it's goodbye, Chifuyu and Takemitchy."

You fling your hair in the air then start to walk away as well, following behind Baji.

"Oi, Y/N! Wanna meet at that park tonight? I miss the place!", Baji shouts out to you in an exciting tone. "Sure! I miss it too.", you respond to him with a sweet smile on your face. And with that, you two decide on visiting the park at night that you used to go to as kids.

On the same day

The moon is shining dimly tonight. There aren't as many stars in the sky either. It's a very unusual thing for you to witness. You and Baji have spent the entire night playing in the park like little kids, like when you once did. The entire time felt so nostalgic.

You lie down on a high square-shaped climbing frame in the park, with Baji sitting up beside you. You try to keep talking to Baji and distract him but he's completely lost in something else. Even though you know exactly what's going on his mind, there's sadly nothing you can do.

-"I sure did miss playing with you here, Eddy. This place was our favourite!"
-"It'll hurt Mikey, huh?..."
-"Listen to me Baji...it's going to be okay. Everything's going to be okay!"
-"But what if that doesn't happen?"
-"Don't say that now. I have trust in us. You'll see, tomorrow's going to fix everything!"
-"I don't know about that...I know we've come to this point and there's no going back but...I wish things could go back to the way they were when none of this would have taken place, you know?"
-"When you think about it, if none of this had taken place, we'd never become the persons that we are today. We might be going through hard times but, we're going through them together."
-"Maybe you're right. But Y/N? Answer me this...have I ever hurt you in any way?"
-"Why would you ask me that?! Of course not, dumbass! Well, except for that one time you took my school lunch and ate it all up alone. I still haven't forgiven you for that!"
-"You should've hidden it away from me but you kept showing it off instead like how could I not?! It was so delicious though, sorry not sorry!"
-"It was, wasn't it? My mom had made it for me. She'd always prepare the best lunches. It's one of the only memories I have of her."
-"I bet she'd give me some too if she were still here, unlike you."
-"Yeah...she would. That's the kind of person she was."
-"I know it hurts when you remember her, Y/N. But these memories are what keeps her alive, still to this day."
-"Thanks, Baji. I needed that."
-"Now, stop getting so emotional. You know I hate seeing you like that. Regardless, I'm sorry if I've ever hurt you, Y/N..."
-"Oh Baji...it's fine. Don't be."

You rest your head on his shoulder and he rests his on top of your head. It feels so warm, not letting the cold breeze become known to you two. Both of you close your eyes and wish to stay in the same position forever. You open them to watch the dazzling moon now shining brightly like never before. The night feels so peaceful and serene, as it slowly comes to an end.

The next day on October 31st, "Bloody Halloween"

"When I was your age, things like this would never come to an end. They just never seem to have an easy way out.", your grandfather says to Baji, while lying down on his bed.
