Chapter 9: Emmett's almost betryal

I just realized that I did not include the Alex and baylee wedding chapter in any of these stories but I did write it . So just know they are married as you are reading this chapter and the future chapters as well.

[Bay and Emmett are at the clinic appointment together. Emmett is Setting in a chair getting his treatment]

Emmett : signs : You okay ??

Bay : signs : mad .. At you .. So mad.

Emmett : signs : I have been taking my medication.. Bay.. My blood pressure has been good

Bay : signs : yeah well your 3 months and one kidney too late.

Emmett : signs : I know .... But know I was trying to take care of you and the kids and grand kids okay ...

Bay : cries and signs : I know that ... Don't you think I know that .. I .. Am just wondering why you had one kidney and you didn't think it was important enough to save . You had one transplant what you want to have another one and possibly die.

Emmett : signs : I ... Don't feel worthy of you.. For a few weeks there just 2 i purposely not taking my medication.

Bay : signs : You made a mistake with Simone .. 23 years ago it's over I forgive you .. Emmett what in the sam heck makes you think you aren't worthy. Why would you wanna purposely die ... Just because you don't feel of worth . Why do you want to make the kids and I suffer without you huh. Emmett Bledsoe .. Huh

Emmett : signs : I know ...

Bay : cries : What makes ... You think I could ..live without you .. Emmett

Emmett : signs : I don't know ...

Bay : cries : what happened that is so bad you don't wanna live for me .. Or your kids huh...

Emmett : signs : 3 months ago when Baylee and Alex first split .... And alex and I met at this park. . I saw Simone she recently had a son... I walked up to her and said hey ... She still doesn't know ASL of course . I said hey walked away . She tapped me on the shoulder .. And she said .. She had been thinking a lot about what between us that night ... I said worst mistake of my life .... She said "i came to realize it wasn't a mistake emmett" ..

Bay : cries : Just stop okay stop

Emmett : signs : I ... Said .. I am married now ... She walked over and kissed ... Me .. I ...

Bay : cries : emmett don't finish this ..

Emmett : cries and signs : I was so close to kissing her back I almost wanted to Bay .. but I stopped because I saw you .. I saw your face .. You beautiful. Face I backed away quickly and . She said "You still love bay"" I said with my voice "we can't be I will always do love bay"

Bay : cries and signs : does Alex know..

Emmett : signs : Yeah .. He knows .. He was there ... He wasn't mad he knew the mistakes we idiots make..

Bay : cries and signs : I am glad you backed off but what made you ... Go say hi to her.

Emmett : signs : I wanted to see if I felt numb .. And I did ... But I realized she wasn't numb towards me without a warning she kissed me and our lips touched but nothing really happened she was waiting for me to kiss her back and for a split second I wanted to kiss her to but then ... The instant I saw you I pushed her back and walked away ... I cried .. The whole way home .. bay that's why I don't want to be here. I cause you pain by doing things like this to you ... And you would be better off without me bay

Bay : cries and signs : I appreciate your honesty .. And I am upset with you .. But I don't want you to die .

Emmett : I oooove you ... ... Signs : I realized how much I love you ... She is nothing but a temptation of a sin . You are my true love.

[Later that day] [ after Bay and Emmett arrive home from the clinc] and [Emmett is home watching tv on the couch regina walks in]

Regina : signs: Emmett I found something

[Regina holds up the bottle]

Emmett : signs : I have had a beer every week for the past few months Regina I am a guy .. I am middle aged man it's normal for me to drink . I am not an alcoholic.. Because of your history I understand why your worried . But I am fine.

Regina : signs : it starts out at 2 a week then 4 a week then it's 2 packs a week.. Look Emmett .. I know about your thing with the whole almost kissing Simone and wanting to kiss her and look I would feel bad too . But you can't drink over it . Emmett you are worsening your health and worsening your relationship with . Your beautiful wife. Who i Know you love deeply.

Emmett : signs : I know ... She doesn't know I am doing I did it when I went Out with Alex. He's been keeping this secret and the Simone ordeal as well I made him promise . And I know that wasn't right .. But he was hurting my daughter . So i felt he owed me something.

Regina :signs : Emmett you aren't any better than Alex.

Emmett : signs : I realize that.

Regina : signs : good and look i am surprised bay was holding onto your hand. After you told her about Simone ... She texted me .. While you were signing discharge papers and told me... She loves you emmett as her mother Please put a stop to all of this .. please.. You have to regain her trust now it's probably damaged . Please do everything to let her know you love her emmett..

Emmett : signs : Did she text you something about her not trusting me anymore.

Regina : signs : no she said I think emmett thinks he made a mistake by marrying me..

Emmett: cries : sheeeee did

Regina : yeah

Emmett : cries : beset day of mmmy life marrying her Regina
