The sound of race cars eloped my mind as we walked closer to the track.
"This is awesome." I chuckled, while nudging Jackson.
The boys decided it would be a good idea to show me where all the racers did their time in the world of Disney. I had bit of a car obsession back at home, so this was pretty accelerating. Oh, and by 'the boys' I meant Jackson, Alex, and Peter.
"Okay," I sighed. "So who am I racing?"
Jackson began to laugh like an idiot, slapping his knee and holding his stomach.
"That's funny," He stopped with a straight face. "There is no way you are racing."
"Oh come on, dude," Alex jumped in. "Let the girl have fun!"
"Yeah," I walked over to the tall blonde boy and rested my elbow on his shoulder. "Listen to this guy, because he knows his stuff."
Jackson walked closer to the track and examined the cars that quickly drove by.
"What do you think, Peter?"
Before Peter even had a chance to answer, Alex and I were running up the ramp that lead us to the car stations.
"Melody, you better be careful!" I heard Jackson and Peter yell from behind.
I ran as fast as I could up the railway. Men and women, old and young, seemed to all be in line for their turn to race.
"Is it like a ride?" I whispered to Alex as he pushed past the people to get to the front.
"Not really, it's just fun. And if you win the race, you get prizes." He smirked. "We're royalty, so we get front of the line."
I never understood how Alex was part of the royal scene. Jackson was a prince because of my mother, and the other princes in the land seem to have their princess.
Where is this boy even from?
A man dressed in a grey jump suit greeted us with a warm smile and lead us into a big garage, as if he already knew who we were. It was dark at first, but someone's clapping set off the huge lights, showing the beautiful cars lined up. There were at least fifteen of them, and they were down right gorgeous.
"Pick your poison." Alex threw up his arms.
Was this a special garage for royalty or something? I wasn't complaining or anything though, oh no. This... was amazing.
I found my feet walking to a matte black car that was very low to the ground and had a big black spoiler on the back.
"I pick this," I sassed my way into the car and slammed the door shut. "Keys?"
"Woah, you want to play like that?" Alex laughed and got into an electric blue vehicle. "Let's go sweet cheeks."
I rolled my eyes as the man who let us in bought us the keys to the cars. I hadn't had my license for long, so I hoped that I didn't crash and you know, die.
