I sat in front of my vanity staring at my reflection. I looked beautiful, I couldn't deny that. But I had to look beautiful, I was a princess. And tonight was the night of my first ball, in which everyone in Disney was invited to. I wanted to be excited, but I just couldn't find it in me.
There was a knock at my door, and it caused me to jump up from my chair.
"Come in!" I called.
The door slowly opened and Jackson walked into the room, looking so much better than he did a few weeks ago while laying on that table.
"My god! You look... outstanding!" He clapped while coming and giving me a big hug.
I swooshed around in my big, white ball gown that Snow White had sown for me. I wasn't use to big dresses, obviously. But I did like the feeling of being in this one. The corset was tied extra tight, and it even had a rhinestoned sweetheart neckline. Jackson laughed as I spun around in circles. Oh how I missed his laugh. Everyone in Disney had a major party when Jackson was pronounced alive. It was honestly the best miracle to ever happen in their world, and Walt was pretty darn proud of it. Getting Jackson back was the best thing to ever happen to me. It helped me a lot when it came to not having Anthony anymore.
"Thank you, you don't look too bad yourself." I admired his boots, white pants, and gold and white long sleeve.
His hair was slicked back to perfection, and he even had a sword on his belt.
"What's the sword for?" I asked while returning to the vanity
"Just incase any uninvited guests show up." He shrugged while standing behind me and catching my gaze through the mirror.
"But everyone was invited." I pushed my curls behind my ears so I was able to put on the diamond earrings Kristoff had gotten me.
"You know who I'm talking about."
I sighed, not ever wanting to bring up the V.C to Jackson again, not after what happened.
"Let me go tell your date that you're almost ready." He winked after kissing the top of my head.
All the other princesses had their dates to the ball, even Merida and Pocahontas. So there was no way I was going dateless. It was a good thing Alex asked to escort me and keep me company... otherwise I would have definitely been embarrassed.
After putting on my earrings, I stared down at the crown that Anna had shown me the first day I arrived there. I took it out of its box since tonight was obviously an appropriate night to wear it, and I've never worn it before. My gaze found itself looking in the mirror again sorrowfully. Anthony just wouldn't get out of my head. I missed him, I wanted him, I needed him. I knew that even the pirates and cove were invited to the ball out of the grace of Fantasyland, but there's no way that any of them would probably show up, especially Anthony. Not after all of that happened.
