╰┈➤I woke up to the smell of eggs. The sun was shining through the curtains of my small room.

"Jonathan?" My mother yelled for my brother. "Check the couch!" He yelled back at her.

I got up, looking around at my messy room. I looked away and towards the alarm clock that sat on my side table. 7am. I sighed and got out of bed.

"Ugh, I did. Oh...Got them."

I walked over to my wardrobe and got out the clothes that I was going to wear to school today. After getting dressed I opened my door and the smell of eggs hit me in the face. I walked into the bathroom and grabbed my toothbrush, ready to clean my teeth.

"Okay, sweetie, I will see you tonight." "Yeah, see you later." "Where's Will?" "Oh, I didn't get him up yet. He's probably still sleeping." "Jonathan, you have to make sure he's up!" "Mom, I'm making breakfast." I heard my mom walking towards Will's room.

"I told you this a thousand times." She stops near the bathroom and says 'mornin'' to me and I smile back at her. She walked past the bathroom and down the hall.

"Will! Come on, honey. It's time to get up." I finished brushing my teeth and wiped my chin with the towel. I walked out as my mother walked past me and into the kitchen.

"He came home last night, right?" I heard my mom say. I walk into the kitchen, following after her. "He's not in his room?" I say from behind her, concern in my voice.

She looks at me with worry in her eyes, "Did he come home or not?" She asked me and my brother. "I don't know." Jonathan said. "You don't know?" She questioned him as he was putting down three plates of scrambled eggs with toast.

"No. I got home late. I was working." Jonathan explained. "You were working?" "Eric asked if i could cover. I said yeah. I just thought we could use the extra cash."

"Jonathan, we've talked about this." "I know, I know." "You can't take shifts when i'm working." "Mom, It's not a big deal. Look, he was at the Wheeler's all day. i'm sure he just stayed over." "I can't believe you." I sat on the couch tying up my shoe laces.

"I can't believe you sometimes. Y/n, do you have any idea where he is?" "No I was working with you all night, so I don't know" I said to her. She sighed, grabbed the phone and started calling the Wheeler's house.

"Hi, Karen. It's Joyce." She paused, listening  to Karen, Mike Wheeler's mom, speak. "Was that Will I heard back there?...Will didn't spend the night?...Um...you know what? I think he just left early for-- for school. Thank you so much. Bye." She hanged up the phone and turned to the both of us. I looked at my mother and brother. We all stayed silent and our faces shared the same look of worry.
