╰┈➤I flinch at my alarm clock's sound that filled my room. I hadn't slept since last night. The thought of Will being in trouble made me so scared. I just wanted to help him, but I couldn't.

I got up and went straight to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror at the bags that had formed under my eyes. "Jesus." This is what I get for not sleeping. I go back into my room and get dressed.

I open my door and made my way to the table. My mom sat on one of the seats. I rubbed my eyes and sat down.

"Oh, Y/n. Did you sleep at all last night?" Mom said as she gave me a sympathetic look. "I couldn't sleep." I said, sighing and looking down at my orange juice.

She grabbed my hand and squeezed it. "We'll find him." She said with determination in her voice, but I know that she feels the same way I do.

"All right, Mom. Breakfast is ready." Jonathan said. "What? No, be careful of the posters." "Yeah, okay. All right." "Give them to me, I can put them over here." I say, she hands me the missing posters of Will and I place them on the other side of me.

"I can't eat." "I just need you to eat, Mom." "Listen. Listen, the Xerox place opens in, like, 30 minutes. And I don't want you to go alone..." "No, I know. I told you, I got it".

"...so i'm gonna have Karen take you, cause I should be here." "Okay." "We need to make, what, 200, 300 copies? How much is a copy?" "Okay, Mom. Mom." "Ten cents?" "If we...ten cents--"

"Mom. Mom. Mom! You can't get like this, okay? Like you said we'll find him." I said to her. "I'm sorry. i'm sorry." "No, it's okay." I said. Just then someone knocks at the door. Mom goes and gets the door.

"We've been waiting six hours" "I know. I came as soon as I could." I hear a deep voice say.

"Six hours." I took a sip of the orange juice and got up to see who it was. "A little bit of trust here, all right? We've been searching all night. Went all the way to Cartersville."

"And?" I said to Hopper. "Nothing." My heart sank again, just like it did last night. My eyes started watering. This feeling felt horrible.

"Flo says you got a phone call?" Hopper asks mom. "Oh, yeah." She points, and he follows her. We all stand against the wall as Hopper inspects the phone.

The speaking and hearing parts were black from the electrocution last night. "Storm barbecued this pretty good." He said. "The storm?" I questioned. "What else?" "You're saying that that's not weird?" I said to him. "No, it's weird." He says, putting the phone back.

"Can we, like, trace who made the call? Contact the--" Jonathan gets cut off by Hopper, "No, it doesn't work like that. Now, uh, you're sure it was Will? Because Flo said you just heard some breathing." "No. It was him. It was Will. And he was scared. And then something--" "It was probably just a prank call. It was somebody trying to scare you."
