"It's open!" Rory shouted from the couch, hearing someone known. She checked the time, it was 3;30. Why did her mom come early? She turned around and saw that it wasn't her mom walking in, it was Dean.

"Hey Ror." he said, closing the door and walking up to her.

"Dean." she said, surprised, standing up. They both stared at each other for a few seconds before Rory addressed the elephant in the room. "What are you doing here?" she asked.

I just wanted to talk to you." he told her.

"About what?" she asked, getting restless and angry at him for thinking he could just walk into her dorm after saying what he said the other night.

~ FLASHBACK ~ Chapter 5 - Boyfriend?

"Dean it's not like that, I can expla-", she started, failing to calm him down.

"No Rory. I don't need you to explain. This is what you are, what you were meant to be. A rich obnoxious little w-" Dean yelled, but before he could finish, he was interrupted by Tristan's fist on his face.

Dean lost his footing and his nose was bleeding, while Tristan was shaking his fist on his side.

"Tristan!" Rory screamed...

"Look, I'm sorry." Dean started. "About the other night, I... I really didn't mean what I was saying and I hate myself for even thinking like that. I shouldn't have accused you of anything, I trust you, and it was wrong of me to forget that but, you were with him- look, I really hate that guy, you know I do, and seeing you with him, without any kind of warning... it just... it made me mad. And I know that isn't fair, but it's the truth. I know that you probably don't wanna have anything to do with me anymore, and that there's no chance in hell you would wanna get back together, so I think I'm gonna try and fix things with Lindsay. I shouldn't have treated her the way that I did, and no, I'm not blaming you for it, because it was my choice as much as yours, maybe even more. So I just wanted to come here, and talk to you and apologize. I hope that we can be friends, but if not, I'm okay with it, and I just hope that there's no bad blood between us."

Woah. Whatever Rory thought he was gonna say, it definitely wasn't that.

"Um, thanks Dean, for apologizing, and I am sorry about the other night, I know you don't like Tristan an-" she started but he cut her off.

"Rory, you have nothing to apologize for. It was my fault, I'm the one that got mad." he told her.

"Ok," she said. "I'm happy that you don't want there to be any bad blood and I agree, and I wish you all the best with Lindsay, but I don't know if I want to be friends."

"That's ok. Alright I gotta go now, see you around." he said, and with a side hug she walked him to the door.

"Bye Dean." she said and opened the door.
