Chapter 1 - Reunion

Amber walks up to the gates of Mondstadt, where she notices two of the Favonius Knights chattering away. "Outrider Amber! Have you finished your expedition in Liyue?" exclaims the guy on the right, who she recognizes as Huffman. "I have!" replies Amber, grinning. "Well done, Amber," smiles the other guy, Swan. The outrider skips inside Mondstadt, as people express their delight at her return, as she waves at them, grinning. She runs over to Good Hunter so she could grab a bite to eat. "Sara!" she yells, and the restauranteur whips her head around, as she smiles at her. "Amber, it's lovely having you back. Do you want the usual?" questions Sara. "Yes please!" she replies, as she takes a seat, swaying lightly from side to side in anticipation.

Suddenly, a blue blur speeds by her, as she realizes it's Eula, as she slams her claymore into the ground and grins at the girl. "Eula!" she exclaims, running up to her before tackling her with a hug, causing Eula to scoop her up in her arms, her claymore falling to the ground with a loud clatter as Amber continues with, "I missed you so much!" before nuzzling into the nape of Eula's neck, causing the knight to go crimson, flustered out of her wits. Sara chuckles, snapping Eula out of her dreamland as she sets Amber down, before hugging her one last time, smothering the outrider with her chest.

Mmh... that's a whole lot of chest!

"I've missed you too, Outrider. I will be exacting vengeance, however, since you spent one more day on your expedition than you told me," smiles Eula, causing Amber to giggle. "Ehem. Amber, I appreciate you reuniting with your girlfriend, but your food's going to go cold," chortles Sara.

Both Favonius members go silent, before Amber reacts. "Uhm... Sara, we-we're not dating, ahaha, funny you thought that," mutters Amber, dipping her head in embarrassment. "Really? How strange," replies Sara, before Amber comes up and takes a plate of freshly made Chicken Mushroom Skewers with a side of Steak. "W-Wanna join me?" stutters Amber, as the knight nods and takes a seat with her. She hands a Skewer to Eula, who takes a bite and, after chewing of course, responds with, "Somehow, these Mushroom Skewers taste better when you're around. Did you add a special Liyuean spice or something?"

"No?" replies Amber, confused. "Was it you, Sara?" asks Eula. "Nope, though Amber has brought me back a whole bag of Liyuean spices from her trip," she says, patting a large bag. "Huh. How strange. I must exact vengeance on those who have altered this dish!" proclaims Eula, causing the outrider to start snorting, her crimson bunny headband shaking because of her laughter.

"Oh, Eula, I do love you, you're such a tease," she replies, wiping a tear from her eye, causing pink to appear on the knight's cheeks. "M-Me too," mumbles Eula, as she finishes her food. Eula tosses a bag of Mora at Sara, who catches it before waving goodbye as the Favonius members leave. "Mondstadt has been particularly bleak without you around, so I am quite happy you've returned," chuckles Eula.

To Amber, Eula has somehow gotten EVEN PRETTIER than before. Her light blue hair that shimmered in the sunlight now longer, her beautifully rosy skin and of course, her violet - golden eyes brimming with determination. Suddenly, the outrider finds herself bumping into the knight. "Oof! Eula, why'd you stop?" she says, rubbing her forehead. "It's Grandmaster Jean. We must curtsy, of course," replies Eula, taking up the folds of an imaginary dress and curtsying with poise, as Grandmaster Jean herself looks amused.

"Seriously Eula, how long have we known each other? You don't need to curtsy every time we meet," she chuckles. "Apologies, Jean, but as a member of the Lawrence Clan, it's pretty much been engrained into me, so I can't really get rid of it," sighs Eula. "No worries, just keep up the good work... oh, Amber, you've returned? I thought I asked you to check in at Headquarters once you came back from Liyue," says Jean. "Yeah, I may or may not have gotten distracted..." mumbles Amber, looking down. "Don't be harsh on Amber, darling~ She was just distracted by our glorious Spindrift Knight," chuckles Lisa, appearing out of nowhere, before planting a kiss on Jean's cheek.

"L-Lisa! You know the Favonius rules!" stutters Jean, red. "Oh, just make an exception for me~" says Lisa, tipping Jean's jaw towards her and locking eyes, pressing her chest against Jean's own, making the Lionfang Knight go positively crimson before breaking away and sighing. "Alright, fine Amber, j-just go to Headquarters soon and check in, okay?" says Jean, barely able to keep her composure as Lisa giggles and leads her to a Teleport Waypoint, as the two vanish into thin air.

"After their marriage, they've been way too flirty. If this was still school, I'd report them for PDA!" exclaims Eula, a haughty expression on her face, before clutching the outrider's hand and quickly striding forward, Amber having to run to keep up with her long strides. "Pfft, it's adorable seeing you trying to keep up," laughs Eula. "Oh, fuck off, it's not my fault I'm short!" retorts Amber.

"It's still so cute," smiles Eula, causing a light blush to appear on the outrider's cheeks. "You know what I miss? Going out to expeditions with you! I met some really cool people in Liyue, like this one lawyer girl called Yanfei or this girl who works in the Liyue Qixing called Keqing, but none of them compared to the amount of fun I've had with you!" she says, jumping up and down. "I share this sentiment, I also miss going out with you," replies Eula, not thinking, before both of them turn red. "G-Going out to uhm, expeditions and stuff, yeah," mutters Eula, as Amber awkwardly giggles.

"Well, what are waiting for? Let's head over to the Adventurer's Guild!" exclaims Amber, grasping Eula's wrist as she tugs along the knight, as they head over.
