I thought that the rest of my day would be fine but I guess not. I don't know what's with Seth right now but he didn't even say goodbye when he dropped me off. Asshole. "Hey! Vera over here" A voice calls out for me the moment I walk into the rosy cafe. Alec always seems to have a gentle smile on his face, it's a nice contrast from the face I had to see on the drive here. I'm not going to lie that I don't find his clenched jaw and furrowed brows attractive but seeing that smile on his face earlier was new and I wanted to treasure it for longer. "Hey sorry I'm late, I just had some issues getting here" I smile awkwardly. For some godforsaken reason, Seth lost his way over here twice, even though he owns the place.

"That's alright, don't worry about it! Do you want anything to drink?" He asks politely. "No, but thanks, let's get started". This shouldn't take long and then I can return to the comfort of my bed. Today's been a long day, not that I mind helping Alec but my bed seems so appealing right now.

"Thank you so much for your help, Vera! I'm so sorry if it took up too much of your time" He apologizes. We got done pretty quickly since Alec picks up terminology fast, but it's refreshing to talk to such a polite guy. "Nope, it's fine! I don't mind and I'm glad I could help. Now I should get going, I think my bed misses me" I laugh trying to lighten the mood. I grab my phone to order an Uber because there is no way I'm walking back this late. "I could drop you back home, It's the least I can do as a thank you. It's late, I wouldn't want you to walk back now" He suggests. I pondered on the offer for a bit, as much as I would appreciate it. If Isabel ever finds out, she'll give me hell and I'm already teetering on the edge of my patience with her. Sigh goodbye free ride. "It's oka-"

"WHAT THE HELL" a shrill voice echoed through the cafe halting my words. Oh lord, God really has a way of making my worst fears come true huh? "What the fuck are you doing with my boyfriend?" she screams right at my face. "None of your goddamn business, just because you're dating him doesn't mean I can't talk to him. Do I need to remind you that he's my classmate?". Logical thinking has left the fucking chat. She's getting on my nerves. She seemed a bit taken back by my comment, so instead, she directed the rest of her frustration to Alec. "What the hell are you doing here huh? You canceled our date for her?" Her? Bitch I have a name, and you're staying in my fucking apartment.

"Isabel calm down for god sake. I canceled because I said I was busy and I am. Vera being nice enough helped so I wouldn't have to spend hours on my assignment so stop being a brat and try to understand the situation" Alec replied, his voice lost the politeness it had earlier, he seemed mad. But no way he called Isabel a brat. Hold up wait I cant laugh here, Vera calm down be serious. It was easy as Isabel's yelling brought me back to the moment. "EXCUSE ME!? A BRAT? I'm your fucking girlfriend, And you". She turned to me in that instant. She was fuming, her eyes scanned around the cafe frantically, finally landing on a mug filled with coffee. "Why do you always have to ruin everything for me? Why do you always take everyone away you bitch, what's your problem?" With that she throws the coffee on me. It went by so fast I didn't have time to react. Thank god I had a hoodie on. "What the fuck is wrong with you!? You crazy bitch. What's my problem?? If you're a crazy entitled brat who doesn't care about anyone's feelings and always puts her needs before others, that's not my fault" I yelled while I scramble to take my jacket off before it soaks the rest of my clothes. I swear to god my filter is off right now, I don't even care that she's related to Ava I'm going to murder her.

Before I can execute the several plans have in mind a voice that cuts through the tension "Okay that's it, Both of you stop it right now. This is a public place and you're affecting the cafe's business. Vera, come with me, I'll take you home and Alec, deal with your... girlfriend" Sean tries to break up the fight as he tries to pull me out of the cafe. I don't even fucking care right now that everyone is watching, this bitch is going down. Sean senses that I'm not backing down and speaks up once more "Vera come on, please don't do this here" he pleads finally succeeding in pulling me out of the cafe. "Why the hell did you stop me!?" I huffed out, removing his hands from me in defiance. He sighed "Vera, you can't fight her publicly even if she's a bitch, just let it go for now. Also, it's Seth's cafe, I know you don't like him but it wouldn't be fair if he lost customers because of this right?" I nodded and silently got into his car. Sean's right as much as I don't like Isabel, I shouldn't let my actions affect Seth.
