Friday 6:20 PM

Juno scrambled to get her ringing phone out of her purse while simultaneously trying to unlock her apartment door. "Damn it, hold on!" She says through clenched teeth as the key finally slides into the lock. Keys still in the door she grabs out her phone and answers slightly out of breath without looking to see who it is. "Hello?"

"Are you alright? You sound out of breath." The voice of her favorite boy from Queens asks her. Gasping, Juno pulls her phone away to see that it was in fact Peter.

"Parker! Oh my god, hey. Yeah, I'm fine I was in the middle of trying to unlock my door and dig through the monstrosity that is my purse for my phone." She laughs as she yanks her keys out of the door and closes it.

"So you're home then?" He hedges, the uncertainty in his voice tells her he was worried he was bothering her.

"Yeah, just got in. I can talk, what's up?" Checking her watch for the time she was wondering why he was calling her so late. It was midnight in New York and while it was Friday she knew he was usually asleep by now if he wasn't out patrolling or on a mission.

"Um, it's nothing big. I just sent you something from home and was wondering if you got it?" Juno smiled as she put her purse down on the table in the hall. He really was the sweetest.

"I haven't gotten anything yet. No one was at the desk when I got in, so I'll make sure to call down in a minute. What did you send me?" She was kind of hoping it was more girl scout cookies. She'd gone through the ones Nat and Bruce had sent pretty quickly.

"I can't tell you, it's a surprise." She could just picture the goofy grin on his face through the phone.

"Okay, give me a second and I'll phone down there." Keeping him on the phone she went back over to the intercom and picked up the phone used to call the lobby. "John, hey it's Juno. Did any packages come for me while I was out?"

"I was just about to ring you. A large package just arrived for you. I actually need you to come sign for it." He says apologetically for the inconvenience of her having to go back downstairs.

"Not a problem at all. I'll pop down in just a minute." Hanging up with him she tells Peter it just got there. "I'm headed down to the lobby now."

"Cool, cool. I'll stay on the line. I wanna hear your reaction." They chat a bit on her way down catching up. She hadn't actually talked to him for a while, just some texts to keep in touch. He was so busy with work and now college that she hadn't been upset about it. She understood how hectic having a double life could be.

"Alrighty, I'm just getting out of the elevator. Give me a second to sign for it and I'll take it upstairs to open." Stepping out of the elevator she glances over at John who's talking to a delivery man and waits her turn.

John looks around the man he's talking to with a smile on his face. "Ms Donahue, just one second." Turning back to the delivery man he says, "Thank you, I'll make sure the Temples get their package."

She waited patiently off to the side for the man to have her sign the delivery slip. Juno was confused when he leaves, waving goodbye to John. That's strange. Didn't John say she had to sign for the package? Maybe he was fine with John signing for it after all.

Either way she was excited to open whatever Peter sent her. Since being in London he'd sent her a few other care packages to help with her homesickness. He'd go around to everyone and have them put in whatever they wanted Juno to have and then add in a few things from himself. Notes, pictures of the team, her favorite treats, DVDs or CDs and records he knew she wanted. The kid truly was the best.
