beidou helps kid dealing with dysporia

Warning! : Basically dysphoria and stuff and it can just be very eh so yea. It might not help for you so proceed with caution.

I was just walking on the deck checking if everything was alright until a crew member came up to me.

"Heya beidou, I just saw y/n walk into one of the cabinets but they looked really down. You're close to the kid so I thought maybe your could help them?"

I said sure and thanked the crew mate for telling me.

I started walking thorwards the cabinets and noticed one of the doors were closed so y/n must be there.

I knocked on the door and said : "Hey kid you alright in there? Could I possibly come in?"

I heard some shuffling and stuff but no answer.

"Knock once if it's okay I come in, knock twice if I should leave you alone for awhile."

I heard two knocks.

"Alright then kid, but I will bring some food to your cabin and we gotta talk later alright? Knock once if that's alright and knock twice if it ain't."

This time I heard one knock.

"I'll be back with the food kiddo."

Y/n POV:

I just couldn't handle it.

I know it isn't their fault.

They don't know...

But it still hurts.

That word.

Girl/boy.

Why does it need to hurt this much?

Why have the archons forsaken me with this body?

I ran into the cabin because I didn't want to be perceived.

I don't want to hear that word anymore.

When u finally got into the cabin I couldn't hold back my tears anymore.

It just hurts too much.

Suddenly I heard a noice and I got startold a little.

"Hey kid you alright in there? Could I possibly come in?" I heard beidou say.

Beidou.

One of the only people I've told about me being trans.

She's really supportive and doesn't judge or asks weird questions like "What's in your pants?"

But I couldn't handle being seen by anyone at the moment.

Beidou talked again.

"Knock once if it's okay I come in, knock twice if I should leave you alone for awhile."

I knocked twice.

I'm glad beidou didn't ask me to verbally respond, I just can't deal with my voice in this state.

"Alright then kid, but I will bring some food to your cabin and we gotta talk later alright? Knock once if that's alright and knock twice if it ain't."

I knocked once.

I didn't really want to talk about it but I know it would be better if I did.

Maybe I could write it down so I didn't need to use my voice.

Beidou probably wouldn't mind it too much.

~a few moments later~

No one's POV

Beidou got some *insert your favorite dish* from wanmin restaurant.

Y/n was mentally preparing themselves to talk about the thing and not burst into tears.

When beidou got back she knocked on the cabin door and said "I got you some *insert dish again*,you like that one right?"

Y/n didn't reply.

"Is it okay if I open the door slightly and give you the food? Knock once for no and twice for yes." Beidou said.

Y/n knocked twice.

"Alright here comes the food."

There was a sound of the plate/bowl against the wooden floor.

Then the door closed again.

Beidou was juts sitting outside the door making sure y/n could eat their food without being disturbed or anything.

After eating the food y/n shoved a piece of paper under the door, it said :  "Is it okay if I write instead of talk?"

"Yea of course kid."

"So you ready to talk about what happened?"

Y/n slid a paper with the word yes on it.

After that you could heard the sound of pen on paper and after a while beidou knew why they were so upset.

"I'm so sorry kiddo, that much have felt real bad. Is there anything I can do to help you right now?"

Y/n did want to feel better but they didn't really know how to feel better.

"Do you maybe want some gender affirmative clothing? Or perhaps a new hair cut? I could fix that for you if you want. Damn I would even catch a thousand crystal flies if it just made ya feel a bit better right now."

Y/n laughed a bit, knowing that would be nearly impossible. But beidou saying she would do that for them also made them a little bit happier.

Y/n wrote another note, it said "I don't really know what I want right now but maybe I'll take you up on that offer at some point, thank you a lot."

"Always kiddo." Beidou said.
"And also," beidou started. She lowered her voice a little "you are valid and loved. And you truly are brave for being able to talk about this when if it isn't verbally. Love you kid."

"Love you too beidou." Y/n said softly.
