If someone asked you a few years ago if you'd ever join a gang you'd probably say no.
And yet here you are, on a mission for the Arataki gang's leader, the one and oni, Arataki Itto.
He is certainly an interesting character, he might look like an adult but he sure doesn't act like one.
'Hey y/n, have you found a good onikabuto beetle yet?' Asked a fellow gang member, Akira.
'No, not yet. These beetles are harder to find than I thought.'
You've checked every tree and cave in the area but they all seem to just be gone.
'It kind of seems like they're just completely gone.' You said.
'I think it's because Genta scared them off by being so frustrated he started screaming for them to come out.' (I didn't know the bugs were gay, good for them! Okay I'll go now-)
'Damnit Genta! Did the rest get one of em already?' You asked.
'Everyone except you and Genta got one.' Akira said.
Well it's time to look for a new location I guess, thanks Genta.
After spending an absurd amount of time trying to find a bug you finally found a onikabuto beetle that would be perfect for the event.
The gang has an event that they do ever once in awhile. They set up their found onikabuto beetle in a fighting ring and watch them fight.
Granny oni and kuki Shinobu are usually there to make sure nothing goes out of hand.
'Hey y/n! We're about to start!' Mamoru said.
'Thanks for telling me Mamoru!'
Walking thorwards where Mamoru is standing you see Akira, Genta, Kuki Shinobu, granny oni, Ushi and of course Arataki Itto.
You kneel down a bit to pet Ushi.
'How have you been Ushi?'
Ushi licks your hand in return of the pats.
'Ushi seems to like you y/n!' A loud voice says.
'How did the search for the onikabuto beetle boss?' You asked.
'Oh you will see later in the fight!' He cheerfully says.
After that you guys finally begin with the matches.
'First off is Genta versus Mamoru!' Announced Kuki Shinobu.
'And after that are y/n and Akira, so go prepare now kids!' Said granny oni.
After most of the rounds were over the final battle was here.
You versus Arataki Itto.
'I'm gonna beat you y/n!' Itto said very confidently.
'I'd like to see you try boss.' You replied also very confident in your onikabuto.
'Go y/n! You can do it!' Was being chanted by Akira and Kuki Shinobu.
'Come on boss! We know you'll win!' Genta and Mamoru yelled.
After a very intense battle where it seemed you could have lost everything in a single moment your onikabuto beetle pulled through and you won!
'Y/n! Y/n! Y/n!' Was being chanted.
'I just beat the Arataki Itto!' You said.
'No I let you win!' Itto said sulking about his loss. Granny oni was there to comfort him a little.
It was definitely a fun hangout with the gang!
After the matches the gang went out to buy some food and just talk about everything and nothing.
Tho Itto nearly got everyone kicked out of the restaurant because he almost started a fight.
You all are very lucky you have Kuki to stop that from happening.
After the day was over and everyone went home you hung out with Itto for a bit longer.
'Today was so fun! I already can't wait for what we'll do next!' You excitedly said.
'And you thought you'd regret joining us.' Itto said slightly laughing.
I wish this could be more of the story but my head is kinda empty now lol.
