The Help I Needed

    A few months after the boat incident and after AJ tremendously saved Clem's live by amputating her leg, things almost felt as if they were going back to how it was before it all happened. Of course many lives were lost during that time but they've come to accept the fact that not everyone could've been saved that night. 

Today, it was as every other day, hunt to find food for the rest of the week, take out any walkers that gotten close to the school, etc. this had all gotten done a lot quicker this day giving them all time to relax. "louis." clem called out to his as his attention now on her, he went over to her as she sighed. " i'm ready to head back inside" he nodded as he handed her the crutches she used and she lifted herself from her sitting position as he watched her making sure she didn't fall over or lose balance, she got herself onto the crutches and began walking towards the dorms as louis stayed close behind her, he opened the doors for her as she made it inside of her room he watched her sit on the bed as he sat with her, he noticed how sad she looked frowning he tilted his head, "whats up, something bothering you?" he asked as clem still looked down. 

"if AJ would've left me that day, i wouldn't have to suffer like this." louis shook his head placing a hand on her thigh. "he saved you because he knew you'd make it, one leg or not, you would've missed out on ruby and aasim finally becoming a couple and missed out on seeing AJ grow almost as tall as you." she looked at him seeing how happy he was experiencing these things for himself as well, she smiled then giggled causing him to stop his speech. he looked at her and smiled. "but do you see what i mean, yes we may have lost a few friends, rest their souls but are you not happy knowing you at least saved us and that we wont have to experience anything like that again?" he asked and she looked down again.

"yeah i am more than happy that i saved you guys but, if i could've saved everyone else as well," he gently lifted her chin turning her head to face him. "but you didn't , and it wasn't your fault, they did it all to help us live on and be safe like we are now." he smiled hoping she'd understand and not continue on blaming herself. "but if-" he then chimed in, "no if's, and's, or but's everything that happened, had happened the way it did, you had no control over that." she really didn't want to believe that she had saved everybody that day.

"but if AJ would've left me like i had said to him before, i wouldn't have to be like this, or have to ask you for help all the time." he shook his head letting go of her chin gently. "are you serious right now?" her now confused she looked at him and frowned " if i didn't want to help you at all would i be sitting here next to you?" turned his body to fully face hers "just stop.. okay don't think about it anymore you're here and that's final okay you cant change it." she sighed looking down at her leg. 

"i just wish things were different." his face dropped nodding his head "yeah,  i do too." they both sat there in silence not that it was intentional it just happened. They both looked up at each other. He held her hand softly and kissed the back of her hand. "if nobody has told you yet, i love you more than anything." she chuckled blushing, "you tell me that every single day Louis, i love you too" he smiled as she gently pulled him into a hug, pulling him back onto the bed they sat on both wrapping their arms more securely around each other.

"so no more of that talk from before hmm?" she nodded her head shoving her face into his chest. "good, but i still have some things to do out there." she looked up at him and frowned "i thought we all finished everything for today?" he nodded his head sitting up too fully look at her. "well i was almost done but you needed help so I stopped to help you.

Clem shook her head before sighing "go and finish then, and when you come back we can just cuddle then." Louis nodded his head before planting a kiss on her cheek and smiling. "I'll be back as soon as possible." Clem smiled watching him leave.
