It was about three hours before we were supposed to leave to meet up with Jake and his brothers and sister as he called them. I don't like calling them wolves, I don't know why I think it's mostly because when my family calls them that (except Carlisle and Esme of course) it's kind of used in an insulting form. So I'm just gonna stick to what I'm calling them even if it is longer. But I don't mind, Jake is a friend and his brothers and sister all sound nice. I mean they are helping us protect Bella.

So where was I.. oh yeah! It was three hours till we had to meet with them when Jazz came into my room.

I was in my room finishing up my hair when someone knocked on my door.

"Come in," I said as I finished my hair

"Come in," I said as I finished my hair. I heard them come in so I spun my chair around facing them, laying my back against my vanity. I saw Jazz standing a few feet away.

"Hey, Jazz! What's up?" I asked.

"Well Alex, I was thinking about something." He paused.

"Go on, I'm not a mind reader. Thankfully."

"I want to know if you'll assist me in teaching our family and the wolves?"

"Why do you want my help? You're a wonderful teacher Jazz, I mean you did teach me. I wouldn't be going to this thing but I don't want to miss out on a chance to beat Em's butt without holding back."

Our family doesn't know of Jazz and I training. They just think we go out in the woods to hunt or talk. Which we do talk.. in the form of insults and comebacks. Sometimes we'll be out there for hours because we have to wait for an arm or leg to reattach. Or in one case, Jazz's upper and lower halves. It was quite a funny story, I'll have to tell y'all sometime.

"Thank you, but that is the reason I want you to help. You know just as much as me if not a bit more. And you've proven yourself in this area before. So I want you to be my assistant teacher in this training."

"Hmm alright, but I have to at least fight Em," I said, holding out my hand.

"Deal." He said, shaking my hand. I let out a little squeal before hugging him.

I watched Em get thrown, again, by Jazz.

"Again," Em growled.

Ed and Bella pulled up in the Jeep. A minute later we could hear the wolves approach. I've not breathed through my nose since we got here so I was prepared for when they came through the trees.

There were nine of them and I did a quick glance over before leaning towards Jazz.

"Forget being a vampire, I want to be a shape-shifter," I whispered to only he could hear. He stifled a chuckle.

"They don't trust us enough to be in their human forms," Ed said. Ouch.

"They came. That's what matters. Will you translate?" Carlisle stepped forward followed by Jazz and me. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see my family's slightly shocked faces.
