What do the fates whisper in your ear as you sleep?
Do they play around with your twisted thoughts?
Do they comfort you with their motherly nature?
Do they choke you with your worries as you suffocate?
Or do they warn you about the path you have to choose?
Well. It depends.

ɖօ ȶɦɛʏ ɖɛֆքɨֆɛ ʏօʊ?

In Odysseus's case. We might never know.
Because the fates have sealed their rotten lips.
And they will just let us watch.

Hello guys! Jason here! I am so excited to get to publish this idea and share it with all of you.
I have been a fun of Greek Mythology since... forever! I recall the first time I picked up an illustrated kid's version of the Iliad, and refused to return it to the neighboor that had lent it to me ,haha-! I was obssesed with the Greek Gods, Achille's relatable golden character, Hector's honesty and courage, Odysseu's wit and cleverness... to this day, all of these characters hold a very special place in my heart. I got interested in a lot of other things, but they were always there, somewhere in the back of my head.
The charm came back when I studied Homer's books and Euripides version of ''Hellen'', in my Greek high-school. I was struck with my love for Greek Mythology once again, and knew I had to keep persuing that. Since graduating is not too close and yet not too far, I decided, that until I get my History or Archaeology degree, I will put my writing obssesion in use. And thus, Iliad! Teen Edition was born...
About the story
For me Iliad!Teen Edition is not just a highschool au of the Iliad characters. It is a reflection of everyday problems teens face. Achievements, school, family relationships, their own image, personality and identity, friendships and romances, envy and dissapointment, physical and mental health, social media, independence and hobbies... They are all parts of the format in which we are shaped in, in our young adult years. This au focuses on a lot of these aspects, while giving a sort of glipse of their outcomes. What I want to achieve with this story , is to make teens like myself relate and reflect on these characters, try to understand them and use them as an example to understand their own worries in some way. A lot of aspects of the story, are inspired by my own life or my observations of my friends and classmates. I want to make this story as raw and inspiring as I can for all of you reading this!! ^^
