We walked over the door and I held out the key. It is silver with designs carved into it. I recognized them as the society logo. A star with swirls inside. I inserted the key into the keyhole and turned it. The door opened with a click.
"Woah." Soobin breathed. Half of the wall opened up revealing an incredible sight. A long white hallway lined with doors. When you looked up it almost looked like a sky made of colorful marble. Pink, blue and yellow swirled in it. We looked at each other before walking in.
Kai walked over to one of the doors on the left and was about to open it.
"Wait! We should be careful when opening the doors. There could be another monster waiting to eat us inside." Yeonjun said.
"You're right. We should check the outside of the doors for any clues before opening it." I said.
We agreed and started walking down the hallway.
We walked along the hallway checking the doors, but they all looked identical. I walked further down with Beomgyu while Soobin, Yeonjun and Kai looked in a few of the doors. I stopped in front of one of the doors. It had a star on it similar to the one on the key. Maybe this was the right door. I put my hand on the handle, and started to open it.
"Don't open that!" Beomgyu said.
"Why not?" I asked.
"Just don't."
"How do you know? Also how did you know about the door earlier?" I asked.
"Because... I saw it," He said.
"Saw what?" I was starting to get frustrated when I heard Yeonjun shout.
"Guys, come here! We found something!" We ran over to the door the three were standing around. It was open and inside was a grassy field. As I peered inside there was a blue sky and green grass, it was something you would never see in the provinces.
"We checked the other doors and there was nothing. Except for this one." Soobin explained.
"Well, we should check it out." I said, "Any objections?" I asked specifically looking at Beomgyu. He shook his head. "Alright then, let's go."
We walked through the door, which shut behind us. We stopped in the middle of the field and looked around.
"Ummm guys, this is just a field." Kai said.
"We should keep looking, there has to be something here." Yeonjun said. I looked as far as I could but it just seemed like an empty field.
"This way," Beomgyu said suddenly. We looked at each other and shrugged. He led us down a small hill which led into taller grass. It was up to our thighs at this point.
We weaved through the thick grass until we stopped at a lake.
"Wait Beomgyu, how did you see this? I couldn't see anything but grass before, and I'm taller than you." Soobin asked.
"It was an instinct." He said before he walked towards the lake. It shimmered in the sunlight.
"Something's up with him." Kai said.
"I agree, but he's been right about everything so far." I responded.
"That's true. He knew about the door and the key." Yeonjun said.
"It got Jae killed though," Soobin said, looking at Beomgyu. He walked around the lake like he was looking for something.
"I don't know if I trust him." We nodded in agreement.
"Still, we have to get out of here. Let's start looking for clues." Yeonjun said.
