Chapter 13

We sat on top of the wall for a while resting and figuring out what to do next. Our hands were jacked up pretty bad from the sharp rocks, so trying to do a lot with them was useless. Beomgyu was once again looking around quietly. He had another vision but it didn't look like anything from here. Apparently it looked like the room we got drugged in before the test.

"I think we should see where the other edge of this wall is, or if there's something up here." Yeonjun said.

"Okay," I grunted as we stood up. The walking and climbing had taken a toll on me. The leaders made sure we never did too much physical activity or get too strong.

Kai had calmed down and was actually feeling really good. After conquering your fear there must be a sense of pride.

"If we have to climb again I don't know if I can." He said.

"I really hope not." Soobin said, raising up his hands. They were raw and a little bloody, not much better than the rest of ours. We walked over to where Beomgyu was.

"There's a stairway that leads down to the other side. It must lead to the other door." Beomgyu pointed to the edge of the wall.

"Then let's go!" Yeonjun said.

"Wait! There's a maze at the bottom."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Go look for yourself."

I walked over to the other side and looked over. There was a rock stairway but it wasn't just a door or flat surface like the other side. Instead it was more tall rock walls, creating a giant maze.

"Oh shit, how are we gonna get through there..." Soobin groaned. I thought about it. From up here you could see the whole maze. Unfortunately you couldn't see where it ended. I started mentally following the maze, trying different paths.

"I think I found a path." I said, "But I'm not sure how it ends."

"We can take our chances." Beomgyu said. We started down the stairway making our way towards the maze. We had no choice but to go through it.

We felt relief from the shade that the walls provided, the sun had been shining on us relentlessly since we got here.

"Okay, the first turn is this way." I said. I led them through the first part of the maze.

Soobin sighed, "Once again, we are walking. I miss my bed."

"Me too." Beomgyu agreed.

"I actually think I'm starting to miss those awful meals too. It was better than these pills." I said.

"Oh my god, the food was so bad." Kai giggled. That was something I think everyone could agree on.

"Ew you know the lasagna?" Yeonjun laughed. Soobin started fake gagging.

"The only good thing is the bread." He said.

"Excuse me? It's literally cardboard!" Beomgyu said. We argued about the worst and best foods as I led them through the maze. I tried to remember exactly which turns to take. It was harder than I thought. We took a left and I immediately shushed them. I shoved them back behind one of the rocks. We watched in silence as one of the rock walls opened up revealing a leader in a black suit.
