Chapter 9

The second I stepped into the water the vision played before my eyes again. Everything was right, now we just had to complete the vision.

"Guys, I don't know if I can do this..."

"It's okay Yeonjun, we got you." Kai said.

"Just start going towards the middle, it should be right at the bottom." I said. The cold water was now at my stomach as we went deeper towards the middle of the lake. Yeonjun was crying a little bit as he went deeper, facing his worst fear.

"It's getting deep, we'll have to start swimming soon. Are you gonna be okay Yeonjun?" Taehyun asked.

"Yeah, just don't let go of me please." We had all naturally gravitated towards each other clinging on gently.

The water was now too deep to stand so I started swimming. I looked under the water and sure enough just like my vision was a faint glow surrounding a hatch. I came back up to the surface.

"Did you see it?" Taehyun asked. I nodded.

"We can go farther and then swim down. It's not too far." I said. They nodded and we swam out farther.

"Okay, we can go down now. Are you ready Yeonjun?"

"Y-Yeah, l-lets go."

We all held onto Yeonjun as Taehyun led the way. I took a deep breath and started swimming to the bottom. I felt Yeonjun start thrashing near me. We had to go faster.

I pulled him faster with me, Soobin and Kai being pulled along as Taehyun started opening the hatch with some difficulty. The water was heavy on top and we were losing air.

Kai let go of Yeonjun and grabbed onto the hatch with Taehyun and pulled. It finally opened revealing a bright light and we swam quickly into the light, Taehyun last as the hatch door closed behind us.

We landed in what looked like desert tundra. It was just hard dry ground and nothingness. We looked around and caught our breaths. We lay soaking wet on the ground for a few minutes as Yeonjun started to calm down.

"You did great, you conquered your fear." Soobin said soothingly.

Yeonjun chuckled, "Yeah, I did." we all smiled, "But I am never doing that again."

We sat in the sun drying off while laughing together. Somehow there was some happiness before we had to find the next clue. I hadn't had any visions about this one, I was completely perplexed.

"So, we should probably find the next door," Kai said, "Had any visions?"

"No... I haven't had any." I said.

"I guess we'll just have to start looking around. Everyone ready?" Taehyun asked.

We nodded and got up, beginning the search again.
