Chapter 6 - Part of the comunity

The next day I headed to Miss Bertha's. She had invited me over to talk about Spidi. I was nervous she had done something wrong.

"Hey! You wanted to talk about Spidi?" I said as I entered her house.

"Yeah, I thought, since she's become a big part of the village by now, we should put her into school!" Miss Bertha said as she sat down on her couch.

"That sounds like a great idea actually!" I said, relieved Spidi hadn't done anything bad.

"Great! Maybe she'll even befriend someone her age as well," she chuckled.

Spidi's Pov:

I woke up pretty late today. I got up, only to quickly lie back down because of the pain in my shoulder. I had completely forgotten about that. I didn't want to stay in bed all day though, so I endured the pain and got up anyway.

I remembered I still hadn't picked up the hat from Billy. I was supposed to go get it yesterday but then the raid happened. Hhh the raid. I got to Billy's workplace. The layout looked pretty similar to my house, only smaller. I opened the door to find Billy working on something.

"Hey Billy! What are you making?" I walked up beside him to get a closer look.

Billy looked up at me.

"Spidi! Good to see you! What happened to your arm? Are you okay?" He looked worried.

"Oh just the raid and all, you can't have missed it," I said, trying to cross my arms. I gave up. It's sorta hard with your arm in one of those arm hangers y'know.

"I mean of course I didn't, but aren't you like, what happened to your arm??"

"I can't really remember," I said and scratched my neck.

"Anyway , do you still have my hat? Or was it stolen by a pillager?"

"Oh right! Your hat," he got up and walked over to a chest of drawers and opened one of them. He looked around for a bit before pulling out my hat.

"I kept it safe in this drawer so it wouldn't get ruined." he said and handed it to me.

"Thanks!" I took the hat with my left hand and put it on.

"It fits you perfectly!" He chuckled and pulled it down over my eyes.

"AH- HEY--!" Billy laughed. I managed to pull it back up and laughed along.

After a while I decided to go say hi to Mr.ToolSmif and Roger. I bumped into Brewr on the way.

"Hey Brewr!" I waved.

"Hey Spidi! You're up?"

"Yeah! I don't wanna stay in bed all day, are you crazy?? I wanna talk to the villagers!"

"Mm okay then, just be careful to not move it too much."

"Don't worry, it's really hard to move with this arm hanger thingy on," I said as I tried moving my arm. Brewr stopped me from moving my arm.

"Still, be careful."

"Okaaay" I groaned. After that we parted ways.

I entered Roger and Mr.ToolSmif's workplace to find both of them working on tools. They clearly haven't noticed I'm here, so now I have a few ways of attack. I can either 1, go with the basics and just say hello, or I can, 2 sneak up on them and scare them, or I can, 3 meet them with a hug. I'd rather not hug because of my shoulder but we'll see.

"BOO!!" I yell, throwing my left hand up in the air. Mr.ToolSmif physically jumped which ruined the axe he was working on which made Roger and I burst out into laughter. Roger was working on a sword which chipped a bit when I scared him.

"Hello to you too Spidi" Mr.ToolSmif turned set his axe down on his smithing table and turned to face me and Roger. His eyes widened a bit once he saw my arm.

"Oh my- What happened??"

"I was injured during the raid yesterday, the last thing I remember is charging against a pillager."

"You did well though. You seem to be good with axes," Roger said from the side, which made me smile.

"Also, Mr. Toolsmif-" ToolSmif laughed.

"Whaat?"

"Nono, just the nickname."

"Anyway, you told me raids were raaare," I pouted

"I know Spidi, but I guess you were just unlucky. We haven't had a raid in years.."

"It's okay! Lets just hope there won't be another one for a while."

"Sounds good." ToolSmif patted my shoulder and got up to go back to work.

"Well this axe is pretty much useless now.." he mumbled to himself.

"Can I have it?" I looked over at the axe. It wasn't that bad, just a crooked blade.

"Nono, I don't think you're allowed to have your own axe yet, you're way too young," ToolSmif said as he turned back to face me.

I pouted again.

"Rogerrrrr??" I looked over at Roger in hopes that he'd let me have one.

"You can have the axe once you are done with school." Roger leaned onto the lava filled pool thing.

"School? I don't go to school though?" I tilted my head.

"Ah! Spidi, I have been looking all over town for you. Nice hat!" Miss Bertha said as she entered.

"Miss bertha! Finally someone noticed! Billy the leatherworker helped me make it!" I pointed to the hat.

"It's a beautiful hat, dear. Anyways, I need you to follow me." Miss Bertha lend me a hand for me to grab

'Okay!" I waved at Toolsmif and Roger, grabbed miss Bertha's hand and left what I think is called a smi-ty.

"Where are we going Miss Bertha?" I waved at the Silly slapper who waved back

"Somewhere you've never been before~"

"Ooh! Ooh! Where? I thought I had been around the whole village!" I said, jumping up and down excitedly, making sure not to move my arm too much.

"Just wait and see," we continued walking out of the village. It confused me. After about two minutes we arrived at a small building. There was a big bell on the top of it.

"What is this?"

"It's a school!" Miss Bertha smiled at me. I couldn't believe my ears. Am I really going to school?? I mean why else would she take me to a school?

"Why are we here? Am I going to school?" Miss Bertha just nodded.

"REALLY?? WOO- ow!" Right, arm, hurt.

"Calm down Spidi," She chuckled. And patted my head.

"We thought since you've become quite a big part of this village now, we might as well just send you to the school here." She pointed to the school

"When do I start??" I asked excitedly.

ANOTHER CHAPTER LETS GOO! 

I honestly love the character relationships. Spidi sort of looks at the village as her family now! Which i find absolutely adorable ngl.
