Grace's POV

Mr Weasley too Harry and I to the ministry early. Which turned out to be a good thing. As the time and place of the hearing changed. When Harry and I reached the court room I see we're being tried by the whole gamot. "Disciplinary hearing of the twelfth of August, into offenses committed under the Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery and the International Statute of Secrecy by Harry James Potter and Graciela Petunia Lily Dursley. Residents at number four, Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey" Cornelius says.

"Excuse me, may I speak?" I ask the gamot.

"Of course Miss Dursley" Madame Bones says.

"We're here because Harry and I performed magic in front of a muggle correct?" I ask.

"That is correct" she says.

"But the muggle in question was my older brother. Who has known about magic since Harry got his first letter five years ago. So we did not break the statue of secrecy. Also Harry and I only performed magic because our lives and that of my brother were in danger" I state. "The law states an under age witch or wizard can perform magic in life or death situations. Being attacked by two dementors certainly qualify as life or death" I tell them.

"Dementors? In Little Whinging?" she asks shocked.

"That's quite clever. Muggles can't see Dementors, can they boy? Highly convenient" Cornelius states.

"Witness for the defense, Albus Percival Wulfric... Brian... Dumbledore" Professor Dumbledore says as he arrives. "What are we up to?" he asks Madame Bones.

"Miss Dursley and Mr Potter claim dementors attacked them" she states.

"But since you can produce no witnesses of the event..." Cornelius starts to say.

"Pardon me Minister, but as it happens, we can" Dumbledore tells him. Mrs Figg is brought before the gamot. Harry and I are made to stand to the side of the room.

"Please describe the attack. What did they look like?" Madame Bones asks her.

"Well one of them was very large, and the other rather skinny. The last was a teenage girl" Mrs Figg states.

"Not the boys and girl, the dementors" Cornelius tells her.

"Alright, right, well um, big. Cloaked. Then everything went cold, as though all the happiness had gone from the world" she explains.

"Now look here, Dementors don't just wander into a Muggle suburb and happen across a wizard, the odds are astronomical" he states.

"I don't think anyone would believe the Dementors were there by coincidence, Minister" Dumbledore states. Someone clears their throat. It was a witch that reminds me of a toad.

"I'm sure I must have misunderstood you, Professor. Dementors are after all under the control of the Ministry of Magic. So silly of me but it sounded, for a moment, as though you were suggesting that the Ministry had ordered the attack on this boy and girl" she says.

"That would be disturbing indeed, Madame Undersecretary, which is why I'm sure the Ministry will be mounting a full-scale inquiry into why the two Dementors were so far away from Azkaban and why they mounted an attack without authorization. Of course, there is someone who might be behind the attack. Cornelius, I implore you to see reason. The evidence of the Dark Lord's return is incontrovertible" Dumbledore tells him.

"He's not back" Cornelius denies.

"In the matter of Harry Potter and Graciela Dursley. The law clearly states that magic may be used before Muggles in life-threatening situations. As Miss Dursley has already stated" Dumbledore tells the gamot.

"Laws can be changed if necessary, Dumbledore" Cornelius states.

"Clearly, it has become practice to hold a full criminal trial to deal with a simple matter of under-age magic" Dumbledore declares.

"Those in favor of conviction?" Madame Bones asks. Fudge raised his hand; so did half a dozen others, including the toad witch. Once they lowered their hands. "Those in favour of clearing the witness of all charges?" she asks.Most people raise their hand, including her.

"Cleared of all charges" Cornelius declares reluctantly.

"Told you so" I tell Harry  smiling. He smiles back.

"Excellent. Well, I must be getting along. Good day to you all" Dumbledore says and leaves.

"I thank you all for your time" I tell he gamot. Before leaving with Harry. We're greeted by Mr Weasley. We told him we were cleared of all charges. He takes us back to HQ. But not before we saw Lucius Malfoy talking to Cornelius. Everyone was thrilled that we were cleared. Micheal and I took the dogs for a walk through the park with Remus in tow. It was a beautiful day.

"Knew you'd get off" Micheal says as the dogs play together.

"Of course, there was no case against Harry and I" I state. "We have no prior offenses and it was a life threatening situation" I tell him. "Though it would of been worse if not for Mrs Figg" I state.

"Now we can relax until school starts. Aside from the cleaning" he states.

"Exactly, I hope Dudley is feeling better" I tell him. "So who do you think will be our defense teacher this year? Do you think Snape finally got the job?" I ask him.

"No idea, hopefully someone who can teach us proper defense for the up coming war" he states. I nod my head in agreement. "We gotta get back" he adds looking at the sky. I nod my head in agreement. We call the dogs over and put them on their leads. Remus walks two dogs and so does Micheal. While I walk Winter back to HQ. Where we had a big dinner celebrating Harry and I being cleared of all charges.
