Chapter 12: Rest

Transmission Starts

A bright and sunny day greets the sleeping Lawrence and Sauren. Sauren digs his face further into Lawrence to hide from the light. Lawrence grabs the blanket and pulls it in to cover their faces. Lawrence turns to the side where Sauren is sleeping and continues to hug him. They continue on to sleep for several hours before waking up before lunchtime.

Sauren first gets up from Lawrence's bed and prepares himself. Ever since Lawrence became part of the team, Sauren started to live with Lawrence as a way to monitor him. Well, that is what he says to other people but he has other intentions why he is there.

Sauren then wakes up Lawrence, which is always a nuisance. He pulls and tugs on Lawrence before he gives up and goes out. As Sauren moves out of the room, Lawrence rises from the bed like an undead zombie first encountering the living world for the first time.

"I'll head down first," Sauren says. Lawrence gives Sauren a nod and Sauren closes the door. Lawrence stretches and goes to prepare himself. Before heading downstairs, he cleans his table and the entire room. He moves his mouse to wake up the computer and sees the program that he was working on for how many months. It will be a few months before the final project is done and Lawrence is quickly making progress. He also is very thankful for the USB given to him which holds his power and holds the key to him passing the entire school year.

He grabs his keys, wallet, and cellphone before heading downstairs. He looks at the cafe, people come in and happy customers scatter the cafe. Lawrence sees Sauren, eating at a nearby table. He approaches Sauren and takes a seat. Sauren reaches him a plate and Lawrence begins to eat the food that was prepared for them.

The duo manages to finish the brunch and hand over their dirty dishes to the backroom. Both of them greet the staff goodbye and head out. Lawrence and Sauren had planned to visit the others and go out on a little date the day before since this was the one day they haven't been busy with school and the training. They also plan to invite the others for dinner to meet with them since it's been a while having some dinner and bonding time together.

They hail a taxi and head to the Garden where Basil works. They look outside and see multiple different plants growing from the outside. Lawrence looks at the area in awe since he started growing a fascination for plants ever since Basil introduced him to the beauty of plants.

They both look for Basil to see them planting some flowers in a greenhouse nearby. Lawrence and Sauren wave at Basil and they smile. They finish planting the flowers before wiping their hands on their clothes and head towards Lawrence and Sauren.

"Lawrence, Sauren. What brings you here?" Basil asks the two.

"We wanted to invite you over for dinner later tonight!" Lawrence says. "Once thought of a dinner since we never had dinner together," Sauren says to Basil, in his monotonous voice.

"Is that so? Then sure! I can always ask to clock out much earlier." Basil flashes a big smile.

"Oh, don't worry! It might be at around 10 PM so that is going to give you enough time to work." Lawrence looks at his phone for the time to confirm the said time.

Basil nods and makes an affirming sound which confirms Basil's attendance at tonight's dinner. Sauren goes up to Basil and whispers something to Basil's ear. Basil looks at Lawrence in shock but proceeds to laugh. Sauren closes his eyes tight. "Please. Just this one time." Sauren begs Basil.

"Okay, okay. Don't worry. I'll make it." Basil continues making small giggles. "What are you guys talking about?"

"NOTHING!" Sauren jumps at the sudden remark of Lawrence. Basil looks at Sauren and continues laughing.
