I sit in the truck patiently as it rocks back and forth. I want to ask Destiny about the coin but I don't want to start pushing her for answers.

"So, where are you from?" Wyatt asks.

"I'm actually from Forum, that's why it's not a problem for me to take you," Destiny replies.

"Oh, wow. You should've told us," I say as I glance nervously at Wyatt.

"It's no big deal. Enough about me though, where does the cute couple come from?" She asks as she slides me a wink.

"We're neighbors," Wyatt replies curtly.

"That's lovely." Destiny doesn't try to push us for answers. Because of this, I silently thank her.

I look outside of Wyatt's window as the scenery zooms past us. I notice a baby deer and his mother standing next to the fence. A pang of sadness hits my heart as I remember my parents. It seems like so long ago when my mom was standing next to me, or my dad was asking me how school went. I miss them so much, and when I need them the most, they aren't here. I feel myself start to loose connection to the world. Blackness starts to form at the corners of my eyes.

I can't black out now. Not while I'm with Destiny.

I think back of the memory of my parents and I walking through the park acting like a normal family. I hold on to the thought as an anchor and eventually the blackness fades away. Wyatt looks over at me, obviously seeing the sadness and determination in my eyes. Wyatt grabs my hand to comfort me. He strokes my hand with his fingers, which makes my heart leap. He always knows how to make me feel better.
