I Can't Help Falling In Love With You

Chapter 17: Hello, Katsuki

"What are you sulking about?"
Shigaraki questions Katsuki. Both men are sitting opposite of each other eating their lunches at the hospital cafeteria. Bakugou is eating his favourite spicy beef bowl but its more accurate to say spices rice bowl with a sprinkle of beef. Shigaraki could never undesrtand the thought process of his friend when it comes to his own food. He always make it a point to cook balance meals for his kids but when comes for  his own meals if its not spicy enough to burn all the taste buds on the tongue then its a pass for Katsuki.

Shigaraki stares at his friend as he shoves food down his throat never even flinching on the amount of spice he was putting on his mouth.
"Im still mad about Izuku meeting that piece of shit shoto. I should have punched him one last time ya know" he continues muching his food very aggressively
"I dont think Izuku will approve of that"
Katsuki didnt answer because he knows Shigaraki is right. Izuku assured him that it was the right decision and but Katsuki was insisting that he would like to come and he would keep a look out if ever the half half bastard decided to pull some funny business.

"So whats going on?"
Shigaraki stared at Katsuki with eyes of curiosity.
"My precious baby boy drew me i think he has talent for art" Katsuki pulled his phone and scrolled on his phones gallery
"See" he shows his screen to Ghigaraki it was a drawing of a stick figure with spiky gray hair wearing a white coat with biggest grin drawn on its face.
"I decided to frame it  could be family heirloom you know, i guess the hair color is not right but sooner ill have gray hairs so its not gonna be a problem"
"I was asking about Iz--"
Katsuki not hearing anything what Shigaraki said continues
"As for hinata she was reprimanded again for causing a fight again in the playground, sometimes i just cant undestand where my baby girl get that temper of hers anyway i had this surgery yesterday it was some guy shoving a damn bottle up his a--"
"Spit it out man"
"What the hell are you talking about? Spit what out the bottle up someone ass?" Katsuki scoffs
"You and Izuku! Tell me is it going hot?"
Katsuki took a big swig of his water and took the longest sigh.
"Its all good" he took a sip on his cup  "well, after the meeting with the bastard, izuku told me he plans to back  to his apartment. I kinda knew sooner or later this will happen but didn't expect it to be  that soon . So Im kinda disappointed about it but its is what is" he shrugs his shoulders " I need to respect what Izuku wants"
"But the two of you are dating now"shigaraki asks
Katsuki looks down on his empty bowl.
" to be honest i still dont kno, both of us already confessed our feelings to each other its already mutual but i guess i feel like its not the right time. Izuku still have so many things on his plate right now i dont want to shove myself at him. So ill wait for him even if its forever"
Shigaraki shivers and points at the goosebumps formed at his arms to Katsuki.
"What the hell? Who are you? Where did you take Katsuki? Who is this cringe man infront of me?!"
Katsuki grins playfully at his friend
"What the hell man youre the one who asked"

As the holiday season is fast approaching the mall is crowded with eager shoppers trying to get the best price for items  which are currently on sale. The usual Christmas songs are currently being blasted on the sound system of the mall but its barely heard as the sounds of people talking and the shuffling and stomping of the shoppers drowns the cheery songs. Within the chaos of the crowd and the noise a curly green haired man is standing at a corner trying to stay clear of the people. 

"Hello, where are you? I can't see you'' Izuku eyes scans the crowd, he decided to just call the man he was supposed to meet up because he thought it would be impossible to find someone on this horde of people. 

" huh what did you say? i can't hear you" he covers his other ear trying to understand what was being said on the phone. Before he could hear anything on the phone he felt something heavy on the top of his head. " I said Im here" Izuku knows this familiar voice and he felt safe and at ease knowing that he's here now.

It's been a couple of months since the incident with Shoto. After everything was said and done, Izuku decided that he should take some time for himself and Katsuki agrees with him but he could clearly see the sadness  reflected on those ruby eyes. As always he was such an understanding person that Izuku felt how undeserving of him sometimes.  But now that he already sorted his feelings and felt ready to take the next step. Izuku plans to ask Katsuki to go out with him officially. Izuku  had never dreamt of ever meeting  him not on this lifetime maybe not ever.But fate brought them together and Izuku Midoriya decided he will not let this chance go. Katsuki patiently waited for him never heard any complaint maybe if they started dating  It might end with a happy ending or a heartbreak whichever it maybe he woud be happy with it.

"let's go" Izuku felt Katsukis hands wraps around his and tugs him gently. 

"I can't believe how crowded malls are during this season. Just follow me okay we're gonna be late for the movies" Izuku nods and he could feel some heat on his cheeks as he blushes.  He thought  how Katsuki could be this bold with holding another man hands in the presence of random strangers. He was always fearless never caring about other people opinion as long as he is not hurting any of them. Izuku tightens his grip on Katsukis hands for which the ash blond returned with a few gentle squeezes.

"hmmmm the ending of that movie was pretty weird, what do you think?"Katsuki asks,  the two men walk side by side on a beach boardwalk. It was already dark when they finished watching the movie. Katsuki insisted that he wants to take Izuku on a Restaurant near the beach which Midoriya gladly accepts.

"it was sad Dani was in a vulnerable state  that she was so easy to preyed upon "

"yeah it sucks"

The two talks about the film they just recently saw as they walk. The evening breeze is quite chilly Izuku noted to himself, next time he should wear a thicker jacket.

"cold?" Katsuki questions Izuku with a clear concern on his face

"a little but I can manage" Izuku smiles reassuringly

Katsuki starts to remove his jacket "oh no you must be cold as well" Izuku tries to refuse the offer

"no I insist and I'm alright i have a very high body temperature must be all the spice i like to eat"with a big grin in Katsuki face he gently place the jacket on Izuku shoulder.

"it feels cozy right? Am starving we better hurry my stomach is growling" Katsuki squeezes Izuku shoulder and smiles gently he turned on his heels and started walking toward the brightly lit restaurant not to far away. 

Izuku tugs the jacket closer to him almost like it was hugging him as he stares at the back of Katsuki  the man that he loved for the longest time. He could feel that it was the right time to ask the question he had been wanting to ask Katsuki since yesterday when he asks for the two of them to meet up. 

Izuku quickly catches up to Katsuki and hugs him from behind. Shocking the ash blond "what is it Izuku?" with a slight nervousness on his voice. 

"Let's go out, I love you Katsuki Bakugou"Izuku buries his head on Katsuki's back feeling it tensed up.

"i want to see your face"

Izuku loosens his arms creating room for Katsuki to turn around. The ash blond cups Izuku head and kisses his lips lightly with a big grin on his face. 

"I love you too Izuku Midoriya and I would be honored to be your boyfriend" Katsuki planted soft kisses on Izuku blushing  face. The two giggled and hugged each other Izuku never believe he could  feel this level of happiness. Like eveything was alright and nothing matters in the world right now but just him and Katsuki.

"Katsuki"Izuku mutters his boyfriends name but at the same time he heard a familiar voice saying the same name.

"hello Katsuki"
