I Can't Help Falling In Love With You

Chapter 5: Cigarette

"Dude its so late, why the hell are you calling me this late?" Kirishima said with an agitated voice
"Hey Kirishima sorry for calling so late" Katsuki took a big puff on the cigarette that he's holding. He usually don't smoke as a doctor he should be  setting as a good example but whenever he feels stressed out the ash blond couldn't help himself but take out a cigarette and light it.
"Say do you know anyone who wanted to hurt Izuku?"
"What do you mean by that"
Katsuki stared at the moon. He was standing on the balcony of Izuku apartment. Letting the cold wind blow on his face. He took another puff of the cigarette.
"Izuku called me saying he was bleeding. I rushed to his apartment everything was a mess and so is Izuku. I dont need to be a damn detective to guess what happened to him. The bastard fucking beat Izuku and raped him" the ash blond hands started shaking not because it was cold it was the overflowing anger he has to the person that did this to Izuku and to himself. He thought that if he was there he could have done something to prevent this from happening. The mere thought of him not being able to save Izuku is making him want to punch himself. He clenches his teeth and crushed the cigarette on his fist. He couldn't feel the pain, he wouldn't. The pain on his palm being burned by the cigarette could not match up to the pain Izuku has gone through. He had to find the guy that did this no matter the cost.
"Fuck! Is Izuku allright, shit! damn it. I fucking knew its only a matter of time before that psycho finds Izuku"
Katsuki opened his palm letting the cigarette fall on the floor.
"Do you know him? Tell me his name Kirishima" Katsuki demanded
"Ahhh gooddamn it" Kirishima sighs
"Its Shoto"
"Shoto Todoroki? The half-half bastard?" Katsuki can still remember how that guy follows Izuku like a loyal dog wherever the Deku goes. When he started to avoid Izuku, he still remember the smirk that forms on Shoto face whenever they lock eyes accidentally its as if the bastard was trying to annoy him.
"Yeah its Shoto, how do i say it..ummm i met Izuku two years ago when he started working at the preschool. Naturally the two of us started to hang out. So one night we were out drinking Shoto suddenly barged in and started to drag Izuku out of the bar. I was so confused at that time but i could see the terror on Izuku eyes so I intervene. Eventually Shoto gave up. Bakugou it was so weird at that time man. So I asked Izuku about it" Kirishima paused
Katsuki can feel the chilly air hitting his face. He took another stick of cigarette on the jacket his wearing placed it on his lips and lit it. He took a big swig of the cigarette feeling the nicotine fill his lungs and exhaling the smoke.
"Izuku told me they met by chance five years ago. Shoto pursued him eventually he agreed on dating him. According to Izuku everything was great...at first but after a year in their relationship Shoto started to abuse him. It started with a slap  whenever Shoto has a bad day at work then  it escalated with Todoroki forcing himself onto Izuku. The last straw that made Izuku leave Todoroki was when he...shit sorry Bakugou. I can't tell this to you. Maybe its better if the one to tell you is Izuku"
Katsuki can hear shuffling on the other line. And the sound of Kirishima gulping a glass of water.
"Hey Bakugou can i ask you something"
Katsuki flicks his cigarette ashes started to fall he stared at the ashes as it slowly settled on the floor.
"Sure" he took another puff
"Izuku was broken when i first met him 2 years ago. But eventually he started to smile and started to resemble the Izuku that I know in highschool. I know what happened between the two of you Bakugou. I know its not my place to meddle with your personal affairs. But i want to ask you. Why are you doing this? Why are you being nice to Izuku?
That guy still loves you ya know" Kirishima snorts and a small laugh can be heard coming from him
"Izuku when he gets drunk the only thing he could talk about is you. How happy is when he sees you in interviews and read about your achievements in a newspaper or a magazine. He always say to me with a big grin on his face it's his Doctor Kacchan"

"Im not afraid of anything because Kacchan is here. My doctor Kacchan is here"

"You bet Deku I'll become the best doctor for you"

Katsuki breathes deeply he finds himself staring at the moon. After ending the call with Kirishima he still couldn't believe that it was Shoto Todoroki. He was an idiot for not realizing that the half-half bastard likes Izuku it all makes sense now why whenever they met each other eyes during highschool that bastard had a smug grin on his face. Shoto was trying to provoke him. But that bastard he beat Izuku and forced himself to him when they were dating. Katsuki can feel his emotions boiling inside him. His anger to himself for not being able to do anything and wanting to take revenge on the half-half bastard. He will do anything to find Shoto and make him pay for what he did.
Katsuki took out his phone and called Kurogiri.
"Hey can you find someone for me. His name is Shoto Todoroki"
"Im busy with my bar so this would take atleast two weeks" Kurogiri answered in an annoyed tone
"I'll pay double make it within a week" Katsuki demanded
"You do know you can find almost everyone in the internet now why do you need me to find him for you?" The bartender asks
"I want to know his movements  and most importantly i want to know where he lives" Katsuki grits his teeth
"Customer, if youre gonna kill him remember i don't know anything about it"
"One week" Katsuki answered in a commanding voice he did not wait for the other man to ask another question. Katsuki immediately ended the call and shoves his phone back to his pants pocket.
He clenched his fist digging his fingers on the burned left by the cigarette that he crushed earlier on his hands. A sharp pain courses through his hand. He was an idiot for letting go of Izuku and now this is the consequence of his idiotic action. He can never change the past but he can surely make Izuku's future different.  Katsuki walks to Izuku bedroom. The greenette is still fast asleep. Katsuki brushed his fingers swepping some of Izuku hair on the side.
Katsuki slump against the side of the bed. He covers his face with his hands.
"Idiot Deku what's with you always having a drink with Kirishima and bragging about doctor Kacchan" Katsuki voice starts to shake
"Hey Izuku can you forgive me. Can you forgive this idiot Kacchan for leaving and throwing you aside, for hurting your feelings and ending our frienship. I was weak and stupid fucking stupid. Can we be friends again Izuku like old times. I missed you so much"
Katsuki slowly closes his eyes.
