Three Years Later
Calum spun himself holding Felicity's leg and back, firm enough to be both safe and thrilling. She screamed and giggled in delight as he did. That was enough encouragement for him to grab her under the armpits and toss her into the air, realising as he did that maybe she was getting a little too heavy for him to be doing this. She was only six, and Calum was already struggling to toss her in the air and catch her, maybe he'd have to start going to the gym.
More giggles of delight that drowned out the noise of Luke's entry until he was right next to them and Felicity's little hands were making grabbing motions at him, Calum rolled his eyes and passed her to him. Luke said something quietly to her and she giggled, wrapping her arms around his neck and smiling at Calum from his hip.
Luke used his free hand to wrap an arm around Calum's waist and pull him close enough to peck his cheek, "you two have fun today?" he asked, making his voice loud and clear enough that Felicity knew the question was for her too.
He turned his head to her and she was nodding, "Uncle Cally and I made cupcakes! You can have one because you're nice," she told him seriously.
"Oh thank you, I didn't know uncle Cally could bake," Luke said, turning a grin toward the other man.
"Uncle Cally can do all sorts of things you're unaware of," Calum told him seriously, then craned his neck to see Felicity had hidden her face in Luke's shoulder, "I see you're the favourite today,"
"I'm always the favourite," Luke said smugly and Calum rolled his eyes, it was true, Uncle Lukey was most definitely the favourite, despite the fact that she spent the most time with Uncle Cal. Working from home had its perks, that being Felicity was his from seven until five or six on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Calum must have let a frown slip onto his face because Luke continued, "it's only cause I'm not around," he said quietly.
He smiled at his boyfriend- fiance's, -that word was new, he wasn't good at using it yet- attempt to make him feel better, it was entirely unnecessary, he and Felicity were the best of friends when Luke wasn't around, he wasn't worried one bit.
"How was work?" he asked instead.
Luke shrugged and he got a grumble from the lump on his hip and then she went back to not paying them any attention, "eh, fine, haven't told them I'm leaving yet,"
"Where's Uncle Lukey going?" came the little voice and Luke and Calum couldn't help but laugh, kids didn't miss a single thing.
"Nowhere honey, I'm getting a new job, a better one so I can spend more time with you and Uncle Cal,"
"Yeah baby, Lukey's not going anywhere, I wouldn't let him," Calum assured, turning in Luke's grip so he could grab her little foot by the toes and tease her.
"I wouldn't talk to you if you did," she told them seriously, her face set in the way it did when she was determined to ignore you.
It was while she was pulling this face that Luke and Calum shared a private smile until she started to wiggle in Luke's hold, clearly trying to get onto the floor.
"Words Felicity, what would you like?" Calum asked her as Luke started to lower her to the ground.
"Down!" She told them exasperated, "I want to go to Daddy!" she told them as though it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Luke let her go and they both looked up to see Ashton was coming through the door, keys in hand and smiling happily back at her.
"Hello princess," he said, squatting so she could hug him properly, "were you good for your uncles today?" he asked
