"Are we really doing this?" I said couldn't bring myself to hold the laughter.
"What? It's our 100th day anniversary! Of course we are doing this!" He said lighting up the candle. "Make a wish." He said closing his eyes, holding the cake. I too, closed my eyes and clasped my hand together.
"Hey! That's not fair." I whined when he immediately blow the cake before I could after making a wish as I obviously demanded him to light the candle again and he did.
"Happy?" He asked.
Yes, very happy. I thought nodding.
He sets the cake down, cutting a slice for each one of us. He suddenly grabbed my arm, pulling me closer making me sit on his lap. He slowly caressing my face as he make the move and settled his lips on mine.
"I love you Chase." I said as we parted from the quick kiss, laying my head on his shoulder but his reaction leave me dumbfounded. He froze, he didn't move, he didn't say anything.
"Chase? Why?" I asked rubbing his arm, giving him a concern look.
"No, nothing. I love you too Hannah. But now you gotta call me baby." He said feeding me a piece of cake.
"Baby?" I asked laughing couldn't believe what I'm hearing. "Whatever you say babe." I said getting off his lap, playing along.
He laughed, his cheeks getting red either from laughing too much or he's embarrassed from what I called him.
"Should we go somewhere to celebrate?" He asked.
"Hmmm I don't know. You have anything in mind?"
"No, not really."
"How bout the beach?" I asked
"Nope."
"Why not?"
He shook his head.
"How about we go on a hike?" He suggested.
"But cougars are scary."
"Nice point."
I walked to the fridge to get a cup of milk but I sighed in disappointment.
"We've ran out of milk." I said shaking the empty milk carton.
"Lets just go to the grocery store." He chuckled.

It's Monday again, Im not complaining about work since I actually love this job. I went to my managers office as soon as I arrived at work. Today's the day I submit my reports for last week. In the last two weeks she had been asking me to do most of the stuff but it wasn't that overwhelming.
"So Hannah, I was thinking about this for a few weeks now and I think it's enough thinking.." She said taking of her glasses.
Shit did I do anything wrong. Was the report that bad?
"I'm thinking to take you as my assistant, do you want to take this position?"
   Wait what?
   "A-assistant?"
"Yes, in graphic design still. You don't have to decide now. Take time to think about it and came back whenever you've got your answer. Now off you go." She said looking back trough her paper not letting me say anything.
Well I'm glad she doesn't wait for me to respond because I know I can't anyways. I wandered back to my desk mindlessly, still thinking about what my manager had said. I slumped down on my chair, It's those feelings when you're too shocked that you have no idea if it's real.
"What happened?" Brian came with a panic face. "What did she say? Are you okay?"
"She said she want me as her assistant." I said still not believing that the words came from my mouth were true.
"No way, Hannah I've been working here since like last year and I'm still here writing reports." He said before congratulating me.
"I also can't believe it. She want me to think about this deal before deciding. What do I do?"
"What do you do? Take the position of course. What kind of question is that. Go to her and say yes." He said then left to his desk.
The first thing I did of course give Chase a call because I don't know how to process without him.
   "Chase."
"What happened?" He asked sounded worry.
"My manager want to take me as her assistant."
"Damn, that's good baby. Aren't you happy?"
"I am. But this is insane!"
"I know, how long have you been working there? Five months?"
"Less, three month and a half. Literally." I said now getting a hold of the situation, starting to get hyped up. "But everything is moving so quickly."
"Yes, but you can't miss this chance. Well unless you don't want the position. I'm not pressuring you to say yes."
   "No I want it."
"Then what are you waiting for? Go for it baby." He said making me smile.
