His son is really the sweetest.

"Daddy, who was that?" Jungkook asked with a contorted face.

"Oh, it's nobody. Just a friend?" Taehyung awkwardly chuckled.

Jungkook squinted his eyes at his dad.

Taehyung gave up "Ok ok. He's someone who's courting me"

"Does that mean he likes you?" Jungkook asked with a frown.

"I don't like that" Jungkook frowned and stomped his feet, going to his room.

He couldn't really lock the door because his father didn't put any lock in his room door because he's still too young for that.

He was about to bath himself when Taehyung came in with a smile.

"Want me to help?" Taehyung hopefully asked.

Jungkook kept an emotionless face and went to the bathroom.

'silence means yes' Taehyung shrugged.

He followed Jungkook and helped him bath.

Jungkook's still just 12, anyways.

He was washing Jungkook's hair when Jungkook spoke. "Dad"

Taehyung replied with a "hmm?"

"I'm here, aren't I enough?" Jungkook asked with sad eyes.

"Of course you're enough!"

"Then why are you looking for someone to date?"

"It's....... different. You're my son and someone to date is...." Taehyung was having a hard time explaining.

Jungkook frowned again and pushed Taehyung's hands away from his hair.

"I can do it myself. Go date someone" Jungkook said. His voice full of bitterness.

Taehyung lowered his head and went out.

Starting that day, Taehyung stopped looking for romantic love.

He knew Jungkook hated it and he didn't want to make Jungkook sad, his only loved one.

Jungkook was happy about this.

He felt like he can keep his father all to himself.

The next days, he kept thinking about it.

He ignored it, thinking that it's just puberty.

Jungkook moved out.

He told Taehyung that he wanted to be independent.

Taehyung agreed, happy that his son is starting to mature.

Not knowing that the real reason is that Jungkook still romantically loves him very much and just seeing his father hurts.

At 22

Jungkook snapped.

He went to his and Taehyung's home.

His father happily welcomed him home.

But he ruined the mood by hugging his father and kissing him on the lips.

Taehyung stood still from the shock.

Taehyung snapped out of it and pushed Jungkook away. His eyes widened.

He was shocked, confused, pained, and many more emotions.

Jungkook saw this and smiled sadly with tears falling from his eyes.

"Dad, Kim Taehyung, I love you. Not as a father, but romantically. That's all" and Jungkook turned around and went home to his house in Seoul. Jungkook knew just how disgusting what he did.

That day, they both cried.

Jungkook cried because of the pain and sadness. He'll never see his father again. He made his father sad and pained. He left his father alone.

Taehyung cried because of the mixed emotions he couldn't describe. His biological son just kissed him! His son just confessed to him!
He doesn't even know if Jungkook would ever talk to him again.
He was planning to tell Jungkook about his boyfriend when Jungkook comes back. But that obviously didn't happen and he's now devastated.
He didn't know what to feel anymore. He just cried.

After that, Taehyung couldn't take it and broke up with his boyfriend.

He just felt like ending it.
