Chapter 1: The Memories

*Hello! This is the author of the short story. This is my first story so please like it ,and give me feedback about it plzzz. This also takes place 5 years after the war. So that means Toph is 17, and Sokka is 19.*

Tophs p.o.v:

I remember when I met sokka and the gaang, the jokes Sokka made, how Aang defeated Ozai, how Zuko became the fire lord, and, how Katara met the crazy bloodbending woman. Those were all great times. I live with Iroh in ba sing se. I help out at his tea shop. Iroh knew the problems I was going through, me not wanting to go back to my parents, how my heart ached because Sokka chose Suki over me. But it was obvious if why he liked her, she was very kind and I'm guessing very beautiful. I don't know what I look like but I knew he wouldn't like a blind ugly girl like me.

I was sitting at a table, drinking tea in my room while thinking about all of this. until someone knocked at my door.

"Who is it?" I asked
"It's me Iroh, someone is here to see you"
I open the stone door to feel fimiliar footsteps but they are not Irohs.
"Toph!" That person pulls me to a tight embrace, I then figure out who that person is from their voice.
"Sokka!?"

Sokkas p.o.v:

I have been staying in the South Pole for a while now. Aang is staying with me and Katara. I was thinking about how the rest of the gaang was doing then I thought about Toph. I wondered how she was doing. I have been feeling lonely here in the South Pole after Suki and I broke up 4 years ago to go back with the kyoshi warriors.I decided to go and visit Toph since I missed my best friend. I sent a message to Iroh by my messenger hawk to inform him about my visit and told him not to tell Toph about it because I wanted it to be a surprise for her.

I left early in the morning right after I got up. I told Katara, Aang, and my dad Hakoda good bye before I left. It was a 2 days boat ride but it was all worth it for seeing Toph. I then arrived at the tea shop and entered. Iroh was overjoyed to see me.

"Where's Toph? " I questioned.
"She is up at her room. Here, let me take you to her."

We walked up some stone stairs. ' Almost everything in this house is made out of stone. Probably so Toph could get around better.' I thought as Iroh and I walked up the stairs. We stopped at a door.
* knock, knock*

"Who is it!?" A muffled voice asked.

"It's me Iroh someone is here to see you." The door opens to reveal a young lady standing in front of me.
"Toph!" I yell out and hugged her tight. She felt a bit shaken from the surprise.
"Sokka?!" She finally said.
