Sokkas P.O.V:
I made some bacon for breakfast and gave some to Toph. While we were eating I was thinking if I should ask Toph if she wanted to go out or not. Maybe have a picnic at lunch. So I asked her:
"Hey Toph, do you want to go somewhere for lunch?"
"Um sure, just where?" She questioned.

Normal P.O.V:
Sokka was thinking of going to the park near by. "It's a surprise" He replied since he didn't want her to know. It's supposed to be like a surprise 'friendly' date. *A/N: Not to me it's a romantic date* ^-^
"Ok then." They finished their breakfast and Sokka waited for Toph to get dressed. While she was getting ready Sokka quickly got the picnic stuff ready. He found a basket, and a yellow picnic blanket. He made sandwiches (with extra meat), watermelon, pineapple juice, plates, utensils, and cups. He finished just in time, because Toph finished getting ready. She was wearing her meteor bracelet, a light green sleeveless top with slits in the sides that went up to her hips, a belt around her waist, dark green leggings that ended just below the knee, and her hair is in her usual bun.
"You ready to go?" Sokka asked.
"Yeah." She replied.
Sokka grabbed the basket and walked outside with Toph. They stepped outside, but Sokka stopped on his tracks when he saw something in the sky.
"Hawky?" He mumbled "wait Toph there is a messenger hawk. I think the message is for us." The hawk landed on Sokkas left arm. He took the message and read it to Toph. The letter said:

Dear Toph,
I am at the fire nation visiting Zuko. I will be gone for atleast a month. Since Sokka is there he will be the one taking care of you. I left some money for you to be able to buy all your necessities. I'm very sorry that this is sudden.
From, Iroh
********************************
"Ugh! He knows I can take care of myself. So why does he have to make you take care of me?" She yelled after hearing the letter.
"Maybe he is just worried about you." Sokka replied.
"Well whatever. I guess I'm stuck with you for a month."
