Chapter 8: Can't Sleep

*Hey guys sorry this is late again. I'm really trying to update more often. But whatever enjoy the chapter!*

Toph P.O.V:

I was waiting at the house for Sokka. I was quite hungry and since I couldn't cook I had to wait for him to get home. I made some tea since that was the only thing I could make. A few minutes later I heard the door open, and felt Sokka enter the house.

Normal P.O.V:

Sokka came back to the house. He decided not to tell Toph about Suki until after the date.

"Snoozles, you're back. Can you make dinner? I'm starving!" Toph said when he came in.

"Oh sure. What would you like?"

"Um, can we eat chicken with rice tonight? Oh and with some mangoes!"

(A/N: Holy crap guys! So I was doing some research about the food in Avatar and Cactus juice is apparently a beverage in the earth kingdom. Sorry just wanted to share that. You may continue reading.)

"I don't think we have any mangoes, or chicken. But we do have rice. I can make some seaweed rolls with that. And we still have some watermelon left from the picnic. Is that alright?"

"Ok then." She replied.

'Wow, she has gotten so much more nicer. Usually she would be flipping out, because there's no meat.' He thought as he was making the seaweed rolls.

"Hey Toph?"

"Yeah?"

"Well I just realized, you're much nicer nowadays. Did something happen?"

"Stop with the compliments Meathead, you might make me fall for you. Just kidding! And you make that sound like a bad thing. Well Iroh taught me to be more kind. He said that if I don't be more nice, then no one will like me. So yeah."

"But I like you." Sokka said. 'Oh crap did I actually just say that?' he thought.

"A-and um Aang, Katara, Iroh, and Zuko too!" 'Nice save Sokka!'

"Oh, thanks."

"No problem"

Sokka made the dinner and they got ready for bed. Toph fell asleep first.

Sokka's P.O.V:

I couldn't sleep at all. I tried to face Toph, but her back was towards me. She eventually faced me. I couldn't help, but stare at her beautiful face. Her smooth soft skin, those kissable lips. I was so mesmerized, that I did not notice myself leaning towards her. The next thing I knew my lips were planted on hers. I quickly pulled away.

Realizing what I had just done, I decided to get out of the bed, and sleep on the couch.

I kept thinking why I was so intrigued in kissing her. I was so confused. I couldn't decide whether to go with Toph or go back with Suki. I kept thinking about this, that I didn't realize I had fallen asleep.
