Remus Lupin never believed in love, that was until he met Sirius Black. But before Sirius there was someone else. Persephone Kalina. Cliche, of course, he loved a girl but his best friend got her first. Persephone Kalina was like a flower, she would never blossom into who she truly was, until she found her Rain, the person who would make her blossom and grow to a better person.

This person was Sirius Black. But of course, who knew that it would be too much for Persephone after a while. Causing her to run away after the birth of her daughter. Persephone knew, what she was doing. She fully knew it and was ready to take her daughter with her. Until, she saw the way Remus looked at Sirius.

It was a way Sirius never looked at her, and then, she packed her bags and left.

No letter, no nothing.

But was that really true?

Persephone's soft hums were heard throughout the house. Softly humming the familiar tune that grew close to her heart. Her lips pressed against the head of her daughter, a tear rolled down her face and landed on top of her daughters face. She stood up, holding her daughter close to her as she continued humming and sang the French tune she grew close to. As she saw her daughters eyes closing she laid her in her crib.

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she sat down and started writing a letter. To her daughter. Sobs left her body, as she folded the letter neatly packing it in an envelope, pouring the hot wax on it and stamping it, writing on it 'for my night sky' she wiped her eyes and grabbed the letter. She knew she couldn't leave it here.

So as she turned to her daughter one last time she bend down and kissed her on the head "stay safe my love, you'll grow up to do great things. May we see each other again" she whispered and apparated out of the home that she built.

She knocked on the familiar oak door, and was greeted by her mother in her morning coat "love what are you doing here?" Minerva said, a yawn escaping her lips. "Im sorry mum. Is dad awake?" Persephone asked. Behind Minerva her father stepped up "dad, I missed you" she hugged them both tightly "mum, i'll talk with dad. Go get Yourself a coffee, I love you" Persephone said to her mother not wanting to break her heart, and of course Minerva agreed.

"What happened?" Slava asked and Persephone looked up and handed him the letter. "Im sorry dad, I love you, but I just have to take a break." "but you will come back right?" "if I don't, give this to her once you think she deserves to know what happened to me" "My love, remember you always are going to have a home here" "i know dad, and i'll never forget" She said quietly, Slava engulfed the girl in a tight hug. "Stay save my star." he whispered in her ear and the blonde nodded.

The night that Persephone Kalina left for what she thought was for the better, was the night y/n Blacks nightmares started.

*

Y/n shifted in her bed, muttering "don't, please" before shooting up in a cold sweat. Besides her on a chair sat Leo, gripping her hand softly "I'm sorry, did I keep you up?" "I know how your nightmares can get. Don't worry" Leo exclaimed pressing a kiss to her forehead and laying down beside her. He drew shapes on her hand with his fingers.

"Im worried." "whys that?" "I bring bad luck," She said staring at the ceiling. "Who told you that?" "When I was little, I often went to my aunts, you know Narcissa. And Bella was always there, she always told me that I bring bad luck because I am so clumsy." Y/n laughed slightly shaking her head at the memory.

"Do you regret not staying back?" she asked Leo turning to face him and he shook his head "no, I don't. I miss them all of course, but why would I stay somewhere that isn't my home?" he said softly and her lips turned up into a smile, kissing him on the lips,

Meanwhile, Harry stirred in his sleep, he had nonstop nightmares. He shot up in a cold sweat, he put his glasses on and stood up, deciding to walk around. As he heard the voices of Y/n and Leo. "I love you, you know that. Right?" he asked her and she laughed tiredly "I know. But I don't know where I would be without you" She whispered to him.

Harry listened his heart growing heavier with each word. He was such an idiot. Why did he always have to run away from every good thing? Why did he always have to doubt it when someone wanted comfort?

Harry's hand found his face, going over it one time as he sighed. On his way back to his room as he saw another open door. "Hermione? Are you up?" "What do you want from me, Ronald?" Hermione asked annoyed "oh.. Sorry, I didn't want to annoy you" the boy got quiet and Hermione started talking "I'm sorry, what is it Ronald?" she asked in a softer tone "can I- can I perhaps tell you one of the stories of my childhood? Maybe we can both sleep better if that's the case" "Of course, maybe Harry can listen too, instead of peaking in" Hermione exclaimed and Harry walked inside, sitting on the floor.

"Well, when I was 8, I had this tree I loved sitting on, I never left it, it was my only comfort space. One morning, Fred and George decided it was fun to build a Treehouse, right in the view of where my tree was. So every night when they thought they were annoying me, I climbed up my tree, and from a connected branch to the roof of their treehouse, and had the finest view of the woods. When this war is over I need to show you guys" Ron said smiling and Hermione and Harry laughed.

Hermione started talking "when I was 10 I was pretty lonely, but in primary school, there were a lot of girls with big houses. So once I was invited to this one girls birthday. And I was in charge of apparently bringing cupcakes, in a rush I made some. Arriving at the party I saw the table with sweets and switched some cupcakes with mine, switching the sign too and all. And then as everyone of course only took of some random girl the cupcakes they bit into it, and were met with salt. I accidentally took salt instead of Sugar. But they pretended it tasted splendid. And the girl, let's just say she was the birthday girls sister, and always had a huge hate on her."

The three laughed and Harry started talking quietly, "when I was 12 the first time me and Y/n came home in winter break we sat in my room. Y/n was sad, her parents weren't there so I got my wand and made her happiest memory appear-" "but isn't that-" Ron tried to say and Harry finished "illegal? Yes, underage magic can be. Illegal, it is in most cases"

The three didn't hear the door creaking a bit, to see Leo standing on the side of it.

"But why did you do it then?" Hermione asked and Harry looks down at his hands. Leo from besides the door taking a deep breath

"Because I love her and i'd do everything to make sure she's happy. No matter the sacrifice."
