They walked through the castle, it was heavy on their hearts as they listened to everyone. Y/n was pulled into a hug by Lily and James, then by Regulus and Sirius. And then by Remus. "You guys did great, it's finally over," Remus said, Y/n looked at Regulus who looked at her in thought. "We faced it all, together." She spoke, her hand gripping Harry's.

"That, you're right. Did he say anything to you both?" "he looked at me, and his look said 'we'll meet again.'" she muttered, Harry sighed, he was tired and everyone was bombarding them with questions.

"I-we have the elder wand" Harry said, shutting the group in front of them up "what do you plan to do with it-" "destroy it." Regulus said, he seemed pulled out of thought "this thing destroyed so many lives. It's only fair you destroy it" Regulus spoke, Y/n nodded. Harry dragged her over to Ron and Hermione who indulged the two in a big hug.

The quartet walked to the bridge that leads to where they destroyed Voldemort. "I give you the honour," Y/n said, handing her boyfriend the wand. Harry snapped it in two pieces, and then snapped it again, throwing it off the bridge.

"Goodbye anger, hello freedom" he whispered, Hermione laughed slightly.

"So what does this mean?" "It means that as soon as we're out of here we're going on a vacation. This shit traumatized me, I need a break" Y/n exclaimed, seeing Ron laugh. "I agree, bloody hell- this probably gained me so many grey hairs!" Ron complained and Harry raised an eyebrow "Mate grey hair is going to be the least of our worries now. Rather worry about what we do now" It was dead silent.

"Did you two not think you were going to survive?" "no." Y/n answered.

"I wasn't prepared for death, but I also wasn't prepared to live through this." Harry continued, Y/n nodded agreeing.

"Wow, that's sad guys..." Ron said pulling a grimace, Hermione slapped his arm "oh don't kid Ronald, you're acting as if you didn't believe for a second we were going to die. We are all in the blue now, none of us know what will happen now. We don't even know where we will stay-" "simple, the burrow until we buy a house-" "you want a house?!" Hermione asked, she looked at Ronald as if he was out of his mind.

"Of course, you're my girlfriend-" "listen, Ronnie, I think what she is trying to imply is, get her a ring on that finger before you and her get a house. I'm thinking more of a flat for starters?" Y/n asked, and Harry nodded. "A flat is more than enough. Set examples, Ronnie kins" "oh i'll get your bum!" Ron said, chasing Harry around Hogwarts laughing.

Meanwhile Hermione and Y/n were enjoying the moment.

"You want to get married to him-" "Having second doubts." "same sister, same." Y/n says, making the both burst out laughing.

"Come on here, you big teddy bear" Hermione opened her arms, Y/n hugged her tightly.

And these were the moments Y/n cherished. Because no picture or story could ever replace them.

The battle of Hogwarts is an event nobody would forget, And nobody did forget. The first Christmas after the battle was hard, seeing as everyone mourned their lost loved ones. But on the second Christmas Ron and Harry made a bet, who would have the courage to propose first would win 10 Galleons. And then it happened.
