"Did it work?" A brunette said.

Everyone blinks and look around to search for the answer if they actually successfully transported into the actual past. They were in a dark, narrow alleyway with nothing but trash in it. You could see crowds of people at the entrance walking past and chatting. The streets were very busy at this time apparently. Surprisingly no one seemed to notice the random children that just appeared in the alleyway, probably all rushing to get to work or because it's too dark in the corridor.

"You all can thank the magnificent Chi for teleporting all of us to the past!" Chi, the girl with white braided hair, said a bit too smugly.

She began to ramble on about how she's so great or whatever while the others looked annoyed at her.

"Well we don't actually know if we teleported to the past or not so shut up." Akira told to Chi, who's face dropped and twitched her eyebrows in annoyance and said back, "Well you all wouldn't even be here without me and should be thanking me when we find out it did work and we get to save our future!" She began rambling on again...

As someone was going to speak up they all turn their heads as they hear rustling, clanking  and scratching in the dirty, dark green dumpster up ahead of them (the dirt was probably why it was so much of that ugly dark green) that stank up the whole alleyway. The chocolate brown haired boy, named Fumiya, took the first step forward towards the dumpster and everyone followed, to curious to stop themselves. (Well except Masaaki)

Fumiya got to the dumpster in a few steps and peeked open the disgusting lid of it. Everyone went to the sides of him, focusing their eyes through the small crack and holding their breathes to see what kind of creature might pop out of here. Fumiya cracked it open a bit more for the light to come through the opening and shine on the poor shaking animal making quiet whimpering sounds.

"It's a raccoon!" Ryūtarō exclaims with sparkles in his eyes. The boys favorite animal was a raccoon surprisingly. He didn't know why he loved raccoons and are so fascinated by them but he just was. He always wanted a raccoon but his parents, especially his papa, didn't allow him too. They did get him his second favorite animal which was the one sitting on his shoulder. A raven. He loved the raven inside and out and named him "Pete". He knows it's an american name but he thinks it suited Pete well and Pete seemed to like that name very much.

Everyone looked terrified or disgusted at the the trash loving animal and some backed away. The raccoon was shivering and shaking from fear, looking at them panicked while sitting on some trash bags. Ryūtarō was about to pet the frightened but adorable raccoon but thats when they heard another voice and Ryūtarō froze, hand mid-air inches away from the oh-so cute raccoon.

"Karl! Where are you??" A guy with hair covering his eyes and wearing a dark almost medieval fashion attire. Chi seemed to have snapped out of her bragging stage and she seemed annoyed at whoever interrupted her moment of glory ( again ).

Now everyones attention had moved to him moved to him. He walked into the alleyway looking around nervously and seemingly frantic. He was stopped in surprised to see a bunch of seemingly teenagers in the alleyway all looking at him with big eyes but once he glanced around slightly he saw that in the trash that Ryūtarō was about to pet was the thing he was looking for.

"Karl! There you are!" The man immediately darted to where the raccoon, they all assume is named "Karl", was and grabbed him before Ryūtarō could touch him. He raccoon stopped shaking in his hold and squeaked in delight as he ushered words along the lines of "I was so worried! Please don't leave me! I- I mean, please don't vanish like that! There.. There..." And something else about going to someone so they could tell them their opinion about his novel he has completed.
