"It's a simple spell," Remus explained as he sat with Lyra across from her bed in her room. "It doesn't take much effort to produce the spell, but to keep it up, that's where the challenge comes." He smiled at her. "But you mother did it, and I think so can you."

Sirius sat next to Lyra on the cream bedding, his arms supported him from behind as his gray eyes trailed over Lyra's arms with the blue arrow tattoos on them. He smiled fondly as he listened to Remus talk about his love.

She smiled as she heard about her mother. She never knew her but hearing stories about her made Lyra feel closer to her. Lyra has been told that she looked like her with her straight jet-black hair that looked like liquid night, and eyes like rain after a storm. She's been told that her love for animals was from her mother, just like how she inherited her quick and witty retorts.

Lyra's bedroom door slammed open.

All attention was drawn to Master Fuh, the earthbender. His breaths came out in quick pants and his eyes were filled with fear. "Pack the essentials, we have to go," he ordered quickly. As he finished his sentence, the whole temple shook, debris of rocks falling around with crashes. He looked up at the ceiling as large cracks formed in the stone above.

Lyra, being the curious person she was, walked over to her Master and looked at him with furrowed brows. "What are you so worried about? It's not like- oh my god," she breathed out when she looked out the window.

People that she knew were fighting with people dressed in all black robes and terrifying masks. Spells were being sent off in all different directions. An array of colors filled the air as different spells were being shot from both sides.

Lyra could see her Water and Air Masters fighting alongside the wizards and witches stationed at the temple. Chunks of the earth were taken out before they were shot at a man in black robes.

Sirius and Remus joined her at the window, both taking deep breaths in. "Death Eaters," they murmured in unison.

Her head snapped up to her dad. "What?" She's heard about them, certainly. That's why more witches and wizards were stationed here – it was all to protect her. She knew that with the burden of being the Avatar, also came with the chase of being hunted down.

People tried to get her interested in their cause by some way, but she never relented. Other people have tried to kill her because they deemed her to be too powerful to be alive in the modern world. Lyra always thought the latter were stupid because she would just be reincarnated again into someone else in the next element.

Lyra's thoughts were brought back to the present as she noticed a fireball hitting a Death Eater right in the chest.

The one who conjured that fireball was none other than Master Eezuri, Master Fuh's wife.
