"I want Taco Bell." I say as we lay in Viv's makeshift bed of pillows an blankets.

She turns to me and raises an eyebrow. "Dude. It's like four in the morning."

"I haven't had Taco Bell in a long time, we have to go!" I counter.

She slowly starts grinning. "Let's do this."

--

"Yeah this is good, it's like yummy grease." I say and laugh.

"Yeah, well after this we have to go home."

"Yess, and then we can go get your paint!"

Viv lights up. "Yeah, and then after we paint, we can go to the beach!"

"Um, I need a new bikini before we go to the beach." I say.

She rolls her eyes. "Your bikini's actually cute, and you want a new one?"

"Yeah! We gonna party the beach up."

Viv smirks. "We're gonna be so hot that it'll melt your Popsicle."

"I missed you so much." I say giving Viv a sad smile.

"I know... Same here."

"I lost you and Nash within weeks of each other, and after that I lost interest in having friends; my friends from the band called me Luther Lynny, after Lex Luther, because I was so snappy, like, it was fun being in the band but I never let anyone get close to me; I haven't told anyone how I feel about anything in over 22 months." I say it all at once and then I cover my mouth with my hand.

Viv gives me a blonde look, then says slowly "Okay... Sorry?"

"I'm sorry, I just... wow, I can't believe I just said all that." I nearly face palm.

"Gosh Lynny, you talk too much!" She teases laughingly.

"You know... You're the best thing that's ever gonna happen to me." I say, and I feel a tear forming in my eye.

Viv leans over and hugs me. "It's okay doll, I'm more important than a guy any ol' day."

"Yeah... me and Nash it didn't end well. I told him that I was leaving and he just didn't think it would be good if we stayed together so I just kinda hung up the phone..." I make a face.

Viv squints her eyes at me. "Rude much?"

"I'm jerk, okay?" I laugh.

--

"So have you talked to the boys?" I ask as we paint Viv's room the color teal.

I think back to how it had been with them. They were all so care free. Nash could get really intense sometimes and so would some of the other boys, but it seemed that most the time they were funny.

Viv shrugs. "Sorta. They just stopped texting me after about two weeks."

"Yeah I kinda did too, but I broke my phone after a few months in Europe and I just didn't want to get a new one so I got a camera and an iPod instead. I didn't want to deal with talking to people all the time." I tilt my head and look at her.

She just hums in response, filling in the last little section of her wall.

"Well after this we should go to the mall and shop while this dries." I say.

Viv throws her paintbrush down on the tarp. "Hell yes, I'm freaka done with painting!"
