The second those words are out of Lynny's mouth, I snatch one of the boxes up and hold it to my chest.

"This is all mine!" I laugh, shielding the box from everyone else.

"You better give me my pizza!" Lynny yells.

I back away slowly. "If you really want it, you have to come and get it!"

"Whatever, I'll just go eat the chips in Cams car." She shoots back.

I shrug. "Fine. I'll just eat this whole thing."

Suddenly, a pair of hands tugs the box from my grasp. "We know that."

I turn around to see Hayes removing a piece of pizza from the box and continuing. "That's why I confiscated it."

I raise a brow. Does he not understand that it's not a good idea to take my food away?

"You don't want to take Viv's food... Trust me." Lynny tells him.

Hayes shrugs nonchalantly. "If she really wants it, she can have it. If," he pauses, looking to me, and I take a step closer "you promise me one thing."

I cock my hip out and place my hand on it. "And what exactly am I promising you?"

Hayes grins. "That's for me to know, and you to find out. You just have to promise."

"She can only say yes if you give me my pizza back Hayes!" Lynny whines.

Shushing her with one hand, I give Hayes a critical look. Can I trust him? Probably not. But he has my food.... Gazing at the pizza box, I know what I must do, for the sake of all things good.

"I promise."

"Just give me a little pizza." Lynny begs.

Hayes' grin widens, and he hands me the goods. Snatching it from his hands, I pet the box. "It's okay, I gotcha now."

Hayes leans over to Lynny and stage-whispers, "Is she okay?"

"Yeah, you just have to let her have her bæ or she might die. Just saying, but it's bad to touch Viv's food." Lynny says, not whispering a bit.

"I can hear you, ya know." I say dryly, extracting about half of the pizza from the box and eating it.

"I better get some of that!" Lynny cries out.

I watch as Nash beckons to Hayes, mouthing 'we have to go'.

Hayes turns to me, winking. "I'm gonna go, but be ready to make good on that promise."

He turns away, and before I can stop myself, I ask, "Why didn't you drive your own car?"

He stops and glances back. "For one, I live with Nash. For two, well," he smirks at this, "maybe I wanted to know who would want me to stay."

He grabs his surfboard from the side and jogs off to the parking lot, leaving me blushing.

"Oh yeah, tell me everything! Just as soon as Cam leaves tonight, I get every detail, you got that babe?" Lynny says with a big grin.

I throw the pizza box at her face. "Hush, there's still people here!"

"Only Matt and Cam. Really Viv, look around you and get out of your lovey lovey mind!" She teases good-naturedly.

As I glance around, I realize she's right. Most of the guys had already left. The two guys still here were Matt and Cam.

"Well, at least I won't be a third wheel." I remark, watching for Lynny's reaction out of the corner of my eye.

"Whatever. Me and Cam are friends and that's it."

Snorting, I fold my arms and call the two over. "Cam! Matt!"

Like little puppies, they come running. "Aww, good boys!" I coo as sickeningly as I can.

"I'm just glad I'm not an animal!" Lynny says, busting up at her warped humor.

The boys just give me strange looks, and Cam starts talking to Lynny.

---

"....And after he kissed me, he like smirked and basically disappeared, so I went and put some shorts on and came back over. You know from there."

We're sitting in the living room, because my paint isn't quite dry, and Lynny's prying information out of me like its precious metal in a rock.

"Ha I knew it! I knew, I called it! I so called it! What else, do you like him now?" she gets all up in my face.

Trying to contain my smile, I bite my lip and nod. After a moment, I turn the tables.

"Now it's your turn to explain about Cam!"

"Nothing to explain. On the way to get the pizza he brought up Nash, then after we got okay with each other. We just became really good friends." she says, sitting back against the couch and shrugging.

And we talk for the rest of the night, laying on the carpet and snuggled in blankets.
