Chapter 7a: The Aftermath

Armin, Annie, Fernanda, and Mikasa watched as Eren dragged you out of the lounge. Armin looked at Annie who still seemed to be processing all that had occurred very quickly in the last moments. Standing beside her was Mikasa, who'd gained her footing, wiping blood off of her cheek, trying to calm herself down. Fernanda, who joined only after the crowd was going inside, saw you on the floor scrapping with Mikasa, and then saw Eren pulling you down the stairs.

"Wait! Stop! Her keys!", Fernanda called out to Eren, but he didn't respond. Quickly, she grabbed at your dorm keys and purse which were laid out on the floor, as she looked at Armin. "I know this is your fault someway, so you're taking me home and explaining everything.", Fernanda demanded before running after the two of you.

Armin didn't have anything to say as Annie looked to Mikasa, who walked away before Annie could say anything. "You all better figure this shit out. Remember what we're really doing here! You fucking idiots!", Annie spat, walking downstairs to leave herself, Mikasa dusting herself off, and walking to find Annie too.

Fernanda ran up to Eren who wasn't trying to hear anything she had to say. So she just shoved your keys into his chest and your purse. He slid into the car, closing the door as she groaned, watching Eren speed off after you. All she did was have a drink and go dance, what did she miss while she was there? And what happened to Kelis? She left outside to dance after she saw you two talking, not wanting to be weird or intrusive. But obviously, she should've stuck around.

Armin struggled to get his keys out of his pocket as he'd walked downstairs, being stopped by Annie who'd had been talking about him apparently to the waitress, venting her hear out. Armin shook her off, telling her that he had to take Fernanda home, but Annie continued, the waitress clinging to her every word. Armin sat in the car with Fernanda, stressed and bruised.

"You break up one fight and get into another one. Y'all are crazy.", Fernanda sighed out, as Armin started the car. Fernanda demanded all the details, and that nothing be left out. She wasn't lecturing him, and he saw her run after Eren with your things, and in that moment, he spilled, hoping that he could trust the one person that didn't seem to be mad with him. It felt good to him after the conflict. He finished as he pulled up to the campus.

"What. The. Fuck." Fernanda said, overwhelmed. Everything just happened so quick, you guys weren't even there for less of 30 minutes. "So what, are you just going to go home?", she asked, as Armin looked at her, confused, shaking his head. "No, in fact I only dropped you off here because I needed to talk to Kelis."

"Oh, when did you come up with that plan? You shouldn't even have been there yanno. The moment Kelis left you should've left too. .", Fernanda said, before getting ready to get out of the car.

Armin nodded, understanding. "I know, I know. There's actually a lot I need to apologize to Kelis for. I don't want to lose her, even if I lose everyone else."

"Oh, so this is serious. I thought it would've just been some pitiful excuse. But I'm glad. This honestly shouldn't have even been a secret for this long. And Kelis has been crushing on you since the first time I met with y/n. I was wondering if you'd felt the same way."

"Yeah, I think I do. And finally everything is out and in the open, so why shouldn't this be? I like talking to Kelis, I like hearing her talk. She makes me happy."

"I just hope you're able to restore your balance after fucking it up with my friend.", she said. Fernanda had enough, and despite what happened with you, she actually had a great time, she couldn't wait to tell you about it. "It's real fucked up that you slept with your bestfriend's girlfriend, but that doesn't have shit to do with whatever you and Kelis have going on right now. Try focusing on her, and maybe everything will fall into place, and you'll find someone that doesn't want to kill you."
