YOUR DORM

The steam scorched your skin in the shower, your mind playing back moments from the party; Eren, the men passing out, Armin's words, the news, and Kyland. That guy just couldn't be like a normal ex and disappear from every facet of your life, no, he had to rear his ugly head in your space, and even Eren couldn't protect you from his appearances. Especially not the way he'd like, since you hadn't reached out to him and he didn't bother to try to pressure you. You had the power, at any time you could tell him it was over, or you could tell him to come back.

It didn't feel like that at first, infact, your heart ached thinking about what he was doing when he wasn't with you...or who, for that matter. But quickly, you resolved that you couldn't make Eren faithful, and you had many other things to focus on it seemed. But you were left wondering you'd push through and continue the plan. There was a meeting today at the lounge to discuss it, but if you could press into Armin and figure out what happened, you wouldn't need to show up. The first phase had a wonderful turnout according to the news, and besides crossing paths with Kyland, everything else went as it was supposed to. Not an officer or investigator sought any of you out.

You walked into your room and realized that you still hadn't cleaned up your room like you promised Fernanda you would. Everyday you'd do just a bit more, until you found yourself overthinking. It had only been about three days since the Politician Party, but it felt like an eternity. It was then where you'd shut down, put on some music, and cry yourself into a temporary reality.

Today, you realized that you were actually hungry for the first time in a few days. As you stripped out your robe, threw on a sweater set, and slipped into your shoes, a knock at the door distracted you. You threw your dark shades on to mask your undereye circles, and walked to the door. It was Kelis.

You sighed, closing the door behind you, and walking out past her, without saying a word.

"Come on, Y/n, please..I don't want issues. I just want to talk.", Kelis pleaded from behind you.

"If its anything like the last time, I don't want to talk to you. I should thank you though, seeing as everything is out in the open now.", you shot back coldly, walking towards the elevator as she followed behind you.

"I definitely deserved that.", she said, before shaking her head. "But hear me out!"

You pressed the button to the elevator as it opened, but the core of you just couldn't step on it. You turned back to Kelis, crossing your arms as your eyes narrowed to her. "For the first time, I'm fucking starving, so whatever you're saying better be worth me missing a meal."

"Well, I'm not sure it'll do that... but I did want to apologize.", Kelis started, as you looked at her, not giving her much assurance to continue, but she pressed on.

"I meant it when I said you were a shitty friend, and I hated you for shutting me out, because all I wanted was to be there for you. I know I like to party, I can be too loud, and I'm an idiot at times, but I'm also a damn good friend.", she continued on. You didn't respond, not deeming it worthy until she got everything out. "Despite that, I shouldn't have tried to put myself between whatever you and Armin had going on whether the truth came out or not...I was just-"
