Ace:

We pull up in front of a huge mansion. It isn't as big as the Boss mans. That's what she said. But it's still one of the most gorgeous houses I have ever seen.

Atlas opens a cabinet and pulls out a bag. He pulls something out and passes it around to everyone. When it gets to Grey he pulls out a mask and hands it to me. I give him a confused look and take it.

"People don't know what we look like for a reason." He replies putting on his own mask. He then turns to face me and puts mine on for me. He has very soft hands. He's cute.

Grey and I are the last to get out of the car. Matteo, Atlas, and Shade stand side by side waiting to follow us in. Grey takes my arm again and leads the way.

When we get to the entrance, two tall men in white suits open the doors for us and the room goes quiet.

Everyone ends up looking. Few other groups wear different masks, but the majority don't.

I see someone with a mask walking towards us out of the corner of my eye and turn my head slightly to see who it is.

Axel greets us and whispers something in Greys ear. He's probably been here for a while, to see what's going on tonight.

He steps away from the Boss man and looks me up and down before heading back to where he was standing, Atlas and Matteo following.

I step closer to Grey and whisper in his ear, "I know you're this infamous mafia leader, but does everyone have to stare?"

"They aren't just looking at me, amore." He breathed, tightening his grip on my hand in comfort as he took me further in the ballroom.

I can't help but stare at the room. The designs are gorgeous, everything is so simplistic but classy. I feel so out of place. But when i stand next to Grey, I know that I belong.

His demeanour, his aura, his posture, just his everything screams power and demand. And no one dares to oppose him.

We walk over to the bar and the bartender already has a drink for Grey, "What would you like miss?"

"Oh, i'm fine thank you." i reply with a small smile. Most people aren't staring anymore but a few keep looking at us.

"Mr Maddox, good to see you. Though I didn't think you would come tonight." A man says while walking closer to us.

He looks me up and down which makes me move closer to Grey instinctively. "And who is this fine lady you've brought." his accent is thick. Like my ass. I can barely understand him.

"She is my date, so don't even get those thoughts in your head Ivan." he says jokingly but his expression could kill.

"You don't normally bring dates to these things Maddox, you whipped?" another guy says, slightly younger looking than Grey. He doesn't have an accent either.

Grey ignores the man and speaks to the man with the accent again, "how's the business lately?"

The man tries to hide his curiosity towards Greys sly smirk and replies with, "Never easy, but as good as it could be, you know how it is."

They carry on talking while i look around the room. I never let go of Grey. I recognise the boys just talking to random groups of people and Shade smiles when i find him standing by the door.

I nudge Grey when the two men start talking and nod my head over to where Shade is standing. He takes the hint and excuses us so we can walk over to Shade. When we get there the two of them start talking and i feel so much more comfortable. Matteo, Atlas and Axel gradually make their way over to us and join in the conversation.
