The silence of the night was bound to be interrupted by the music blasting from the small speaker you carried with you. A cigarette between your fingers and your skateboard gliding on the road as you gracefully moved around, sneaking glances at the mesmerizing night sky from time to time.
You really just needed a timeout from everything, something to take your mind off of your recent break-up. A few tears threatened to escape your blood-shot eyes but you blinked rapidly, taking a deep inhale from the cigarette in your hand.
Releasing the smoke from your nostrils, you almost missed the pair of green, sharp eyes that zoomed past you. A brown haired boy dressed in all black glided past you on his skateboard, intensely staring at your face as the wind blew on his hair pulling them back and leaving room for his gorgeous facial features to shine. A lit-up cigarette rested on his thin lips while his foxy, green eyes met yours, locking instantly. He stared at you with no hesitation or embarrassment as you stared back.
It was quite surprising to see someone out at this time, considering it was almost midnight, but you nevertheless both just enjoyed each other's presence, even if you were total strangers. He gave you a feeling of comfort you so desperately needed and you had never even talked to each other.
You both took a sharp turn to your left entering a small skating park. That's were your ways parted, both of you doing your own thing with your skates, just gliding across the concrete while vibing to the playlist filling the quiet night.
An hour and a half later, your legs gave up on you from the exhaustion and you realized it would be a good idea to take a small break. The boy with the unforgettable green eyes never left. Instead, he kept skateboarding, stealing glances at you every so often, checking if you were okay, as if sensing that something troubled you. When he noticed that you stopped, he slowed down and slowly approached you with his skate, immediately taking the chance to meet you. Something you were grateful for.
