Everything happened so quickly. So very, very quickly.

It all started when a new Loki arrived. Not that it was rare. It was common, for Lokis to just come tumbling into the Void.

But he wasn't the same with all of us. He didn't threaten us right away like Lokis do, he insisted on having a plan when there was obviously no other plan than run and hide from Alioth, and asked a lot of questions. What made him different was that he wanted to kill Alioth. As in slash an angry storm cloud until it was dead. Crazy, right?

Boastful Loki betrayed us and led vermin to our door. Classic Loki helped us escape. After that he managed to convince us to help him kill Alioth. I didn't think that plan would work though, and I was right, it didn't.

Then came the woman variant, and Mobius. I think the woman variant's name is Sylvie. Loki liked her, and she liked him. It was obvious. Why didn't they notice it sooner was and still is a mystery to me.

Everything went downhill after that. We agreed once again to help them to take the blasted TVA down. It was a bad idea. I could've stopped him from going. I shouldn't have let him go.

Because I knew once he had gone, he wouldn't come back anymore.

Find shelter and watch from afar. You're not ready yet, I don't want to see you in Alioth's line of attack. They will do their part, I will do mine. He had said. I asked to help.

You'll be helping by staying safe. I can concentrate more on the distraction if I know that you're safe, child. Can you promise me? He asked me. I swore on Yggdrasil to stay out of sight.

Good. Then I'll teach you to cast fireworks over the water when I get back.

But that never happened.

I was a coward. I should've saved him. I could've saved him. I would've saved him.

I didn't.

So here I was, alone. Again. I found his helmet. Alioth got him.

"He's gone, isn't he?" I asked Alligator Loki.

Yes. There came the reply that drained all of my hope, that he was still alive, somewhere. I expected to feel like my heart had shattered, like what happened with Thor. No. I felt numb. Painfully, dreadfully numb. First Thor, now Classic Loki. He was like a father I never got to have. He wasn't like Odin. He was like Frigga.

Mother. I missed her. I started to cry. I lost everything good in my life.

Thor, my brother.

Frigga, my mother.

Now Classic Loki, my teacher, confidant and... father.

"We only have each other now," I sniffled, forcing a small smile on my face when I turned to look at Alligator Loki. I wouldn't cry. He wouldn't have wanted to see me cry. I picked him up. "Let's lose the flimsy helmet. You'll look nicer in his," I took off his old helmet and put Classic Loki's helmet on him. It fit perfectly. I smiled sadly. "You look like him, but an Alligator version of him," I noted. He nodded. I extended my fingers and a stream of emerald colored magic encircled the helmet before disappearing into dust.

Like him.

I pushed the thoughts to the back of my head. "There, good as new," I looked at the shiny helmet that was once his. I had renewed it. I mastered the renewal spell. He would be proud. The old helmet would go to whatever animal Loki variant, though I knew Alligator Loki was the superior animal Loki variant.

"Come on, let's find a way out of here," I carried him back to the hideout, not before looking back to where he once stood, conjuring the full illusion of Asgard, and I looked to his helmet sitting on Alligator Loki's head.

And we wandered around in the void, alone.
