Anxious was an understatement of what I was feeling now. B-15 was trying to calm me down. Key word trying. It was in no way working.

"They should be back by now," I muttered while pacing across the room. "Mobius, worrying isn't going to help. Calm down, I'm sure they're on their way," She tried. "That was the same thing you said a while ago!" I exclaimed, sighing and taking a seat.

"There's nothing we can do, Mobius! All we can do, is try to convince as many people as we can, avoid getting pruned and wait," B-15 sighed. Uncomfortable silence stretched between us. I took a deep breath.

"I'm going," I said determinedly, getting up from my seat.

"Going where?" B-15 asked, following me.

"Looking for them! They most probably already got rid of Alioth, so the only thing that's left is to bust into the place, let them finish whatever they were doing and we can go," I said. B-15 sighed.

"Mobius, we don't know if they even succeeded in getting rid of Alioth," She stated.

I chuckled humorlessly. "Way to kill the mood," I muttered. But we both knew that there was the possibility. And if they died, I feel like that's on me.

"But what if they did?" I tried to convince her.

"We don't know for sure! It's too dangerous. I'm not letting you go," She retorted.

"B-15, are you willing to believe in the possibility that both of them are alive? Come on. You know that all the Lokis survive somehow! The sheer amount of Lokis in the void exceed any other variant. Maybe you haven't been down there, you don't know. But I know. Lokis survive, and that's enough to let me believe in the chance that both of them are alive," I argued.

"There's nothing I can do to convince you is there?" B-15 sighed dejectedly.

"Nope," I shook my head. I had set my mind on it, I would do it.

"Fine," She sighed. I grinned. "But I'm coming with you." She finished, checking our TemPads to ensure that they were at full battery and weren't damaged. I swear it was because of a broken TemPad that Loki and Sylvie got stuck at Lamentis. Or they would've escaped long ago.

"I'm going to regret this aren't I?" B-15 asked. "I don't know," I grinned.

After self pruning (which was me getting pruned the second time), we landed in the void. "Still doesn't hurt any less," I grumbled and got to my feet, dusting myself off. Being pruned was like being pricked lightly with needles all over your body: not enough to draw blood but enough to hurt. "At least now I can say I've been pruned before," B-15 sat up, wincing from the pain.

"So, I think we should find the older Loki. He's obviously the more powerful one. And the kid too. Probably those two would be enough, because they actually know Loki and Sylvie, unlike the other varian-," I rambled on. "Mobius," B-15 interrupted me.

"What?" I asked. "You said Alioth was a purple smoke cloud that devours things in it's path, right?" B-15 asked. "Yeah," I confirmed. "They did it," A rare smile was growing on her face. Then I truly looked around and almost jumped with joy. In Alioth's place was now fog with a slight greenish tint to it, no more demonic screeching.

"I told you! And you didn't believe me," I said excitedly. "So what do we do now?" B-15 asked. "You weren't listening to what I said?" I asked. "No," She shook her head. I groaned and repeated my plan to her.

"Good idea, but where exactly do we start looking for them?" She asked. I stopped. "I... I don't know. I guess we just walk around then," I suggested. She shrugged and started walking. "Wait," I stopped her.

"What?" She asked. "Stay there!" I yelled at her while I started running. This place was familiar. I ran onwards and saw the blue pizza car parked right where I left it. I laughed in victory and drove it towards B-15.

"Hop in!" I yelled, poking my head out of the window. She shook her head in disbelief but got in anyways. "So where are we going?" She asked. "I might have a vague idea of where the three Lokis might be," I grinned.

We found ourselves back at the spot where Sylvie and Loki had been planning outside and we were inside that building. But I knew they weren't planning. They definitely weren't. I couldn't hear exactly what they were saying but I knew that you didn't need a blanket and sit so close to each other for planning. Those two are so oblivious. It's a bit weird, sure, but they're not exactly the same person, are they?

"Mobius?" B-15 asked waving a hand in front of my face. "Sorry. I uh.. spaced out for a moment. Right up ahead," I pointed towards the crumbling building. Well, I hoped they were in there. According to the older Loki, the old base got taken over and that was their temporary refuge.

"Don't let your guard down," B-15 instructed. "Okay okay," I muttered as we approached the entrance. There wasn't a single sound. I stepped inside. The building was dim, the only light source being from outside.

"There's no one here, Mobius," B-15 noted. "I guess they moved then," I sighed. "You should really check more thoroughly before you jump to conclusions, Mobius," A voice said. We turned around to come face to face with the child and alligator variants of Loki.

"What brings you back here?" The kid asked, walking to the other side of the room, looking pointedly at me. "We're looking for the Loki variants. Have you seen them?" B-15 went straight to business. The kid looked surprised. "They haven't returned to the TVA yet?" He asked. "No," I replied.

"What's taking them so long?" He mused, sitting down on the floor with his legs crossed. The alligator sat in his lap as he petted it like it was a cat. "We don't know, that's why we're down here looking for them. Speaking of which, where's the older guy?" I asked.

The kid's expression hardened. "He's not here," His reply was forced. I had been interrogating Loki enough for me to know he wasn't telling me the whole truth. "Where is he then?" B-15 demanded, advancing on him. I held out my hand, asking B-15 to give me and the kid some space. She huffed and went outside.

"Could you tell me where he is, kid?" I sat down in front of him. He hesitated for a moment, but decided not to tell me and stared at the wall. I said nothing but glanced around. That was when I noticed the helmet on the alligator's head looked different. Somewhat familiar-looking, but different. "You got him a new helmet?" I asked, trying to make light of the situation. He scoffed. "What do you think?" He asked me. His tone was pained.

Horrible realization hit me when I recognized that helmet as the one that belonged to the older Loki. "Look, I... I'm sorry, kid," I said softly. "He chose to do it himself. It was his decision," He stated, clearly trying to end the topic. I wasn't going to let him do that. "You can talk to me about it. You can trust me. You know that, right?" I asked him, trying to get him to let out his feelings. The older Loki probably was like a friend and mentor to him, so losing him must have been hard on the kid.

"I don't want to talk about it," The kid insisted, getting up. I sighed. "Okay." I decided to leave the topic alone. "We're looking for Loki and Sylvie. You wanna come?" I asked him. He contemplated my offer for a while. "What's in it for me?" He asked. "Well, we have TemPads. We can get you outta here. You in?" I told him. He exhaled. "Fine. But he comes too," He said, holding up the alligator. I shrugged. "Fine with me."

We exited the building, B-15 still waiting outside. "They're coming?" She asked me. "Yeah," I replied. "Let's go," The kid said, walking towards the structure "at the end of time" as Sylvie called it. I just hoped that they were just finishing up, then we could all go back.
